Urghhh...back to work. Such a loss for any kind of motivaiton after the holidays and time off.
Bruce, car looks good. Installed the PWJDM shift knob(s) and did the water bottle mod. What an improvement in the looks dept. The o-ring's just looked sloppy. Still testing out the weight and throw, so far I like. The notchy feel between 1st and 2nd is gone. Highly recommended this mod. Block off plates for oil coolers are finished, looking into a further mod to adjust the plate. Replaced the chin spoiler on the bro's Z.....tire curbs are next. All in all the old lady is still dirty. LaterZ |

thanks zforce.
My oil cooler block off plate is a partial one and luckily (not intended) perfectly/barely fits through the front openings so I cna remove and place it without bumper removal. It is a bit tight to get my hands through though so it mgiht nto work if you have big hands/wrists. I find that partial block off to be just right so far for socal as my temps cna get up to 200-210 in street driving and stay just above 180 generally when cruising at night. That's with temps in the 50s and up though for colder nights. On the way to the track (the ngiht before, and in an area I never drive to otherwise so it doesn't usually pertian to me), the temps outside dropped into the 30s and my car was down to liek 160 when cruising. I'm not sure how cold it gets up where you are so a partial block -off might not be good enough for you. It does make it eays to adjust though if it is adequate enough to kepe your tmeps up in your area. |
Today... Today I opened garage door and stared at my z for 10 minutes again... Ahhh, I wish summer is coming soon!!

Not sure what size cooler you have, but if it's a 19 row, your block off plate might still fit through the front also, even if it is a complete block-off. If not, I believe there's a thread somewhere here where someone was able to adjust their plate without full bumper removalby removing the black plastic covering that's all the way in front of the engine. Comes off pretty easily. It also requires fairly thin arms though I believe. Looked a bit too tight for me.

Happy B-day Happy. I see you bought yourself a gift that really SUX. It might actually be a good way to get stuff that falls next to the seat out. Like chicken feet or sushi. Going to the local cat and dog buffet tonight. As I say a billion Chinese people can't be wrong. :ugh2: Oh they have a sushi bar also. The guy makes them as you watch.
