You can find Vettes all day long at invoice or below and $42K is certainly doable if you go light on option packages.. Check the corvette forum for participating dealers. bought my '08 for invoice at MacMulkins in New Hampshire (great dealer). they are very different cars. I don't miss the Vette!

Vettes,Cameros,Mustangs, and even the Challengers are becoming a dime a dozen car, people see them every day, most people will walk right past them to see a Z parked at the end of a line with those cars in them because they don't see them everyday.
Although if the Stingray concept becomes the new C7 Vette, that will change Photo Gallery: 2010 Corvette Stingray Concept - WebRidesTV Last edited by 40th370z; 05-24-2010 at 01:51 PM. |

Edit: I see your point, though. By the time that happens, 370Z's will also be more common. Last edited by shadoquad; 05-24-2010 at 02:03 PM. |

Sure. And there will be more and more as long as they keep selling the right number each year. Eventually they'll be as common as 350Z's, especially when the used car market has its way and newer Z's get performance/styling tweaks as years go by.
As I said, though, rarity/exclusivity (or the lack thereof) doesn't change the fact that it's a beautiful, aggressive design. But I think the design of the Stang/Camaro/Vette will age faster because they sell more in general. |

The Z seems to be high on the fun to value ratio also. I agree the C6 and 370Z are very different cars. Many cars are as fun to drive but in very different ways. Having owned both what do you like and dislike about each? How would you compare the steering feel and balance? Which would you say is more confidence inspiring? I only had a brief test drive recently in a base Z and it was good enough for me to consider one! I assume the C6 brakes are better then the non-sport pads of the Z from Car and Drivers experience? How is the over heating issue for the Z? It would be great to hear back from someone who actually owns both. Thanks! Last edited by autopc25; 08-29-2010 at 09:16 AM. |
