I'm getting 17.4 after first 1k miles. I'm starting to come to the conclusion Nissan is full of sh*t with their fuel rating for the Z. More like 16-24. It appears to me they fudged the numbers a little to increase sales considering for some this is a sensitive subject at $4 gallon.

My window sticker says 21 mpg in mixed driving. I'm getting 21.4 mpg in slightly more city driving than freeway.

EPA estimates are just a point of reference. You're assuming the muscle cars you speak of will actually get their sticker numbers. I figure if I drive a EPA 25mpg v6 car and get 20 in real life, I will probably get 16 in a EPA 21 mpg v8 car. Everything is relative.

That being said, I get between 20-22 MPG usually with mixed driving. 16-17 when it's mostly non-highway and have gotten 26.5 on long highway cruises. Seems to be in line with my expectations for an EPA 18-26mpg car.

According to car's computer:
city: 18l/km -- 13MPG
highway: 14.5l/km -- 16MPG
92octane gas, 6MT.
UpRev tuned and all N/A bolt ons installed.

In town....23ish...road trip last week 26.7!!!

2xtreme1 08-26-2013 02:17 AM

Mostly city : 15.0
Some highway and city :17.5
Highway ..best I've seen was like 22.8
7AT
That's shifting at 2.5-3.5k rpms

I get about 17.4 too. I have been trying to get under 15mpg but i just can't seem to do it. I must not know what i am doing behind the wheel. I'll learn to drive it harder. I promise. Just give me a little time and i swear I won't let you down !

Once, just for giggles (and sheer boredom) i tried to see how high i could keep it over a 45 minute drive i make every saturday. I babied it as much as humanly possible. Neutral going down hills, super slow and annoying take offs, shifting as low in thr RPMs as i could and i actually made it home at an average of 47mpg according to the guage which i reset before i started. I'll never do it again tho. If i were behind me i would have dragged myself out of the car an kicked my own *** and took the car away from me for being a b*tch in a Z who wasnt worthy.

according to my OBC:

15.9 95% city driving.

I get about 21 mpg. With the stop-and-go traffic around here, I think that's decent.

Happy to say I beat my average after filling up this morning. It's 23.5 MPG combined, and that's with a little spirited driving. This is with the test pipes, and after dealing with a nearly clogged HFC for the past year (average 21-22.4 MPG).

6spd 08-26-2013 09:18 AM

I get 21.9 combined, only road trip I took averaged 27-28, w/ >28 on the mountain roads.
