The S2K pulls .89g on the skidpad while the 370Z does .99g. The S2k is also a mid 14 second car and the 370Z is a low 13 second car. Also 0-60 on the S2K is around 6 seconds and the 370Z does it in under 5.

Did I miss something? I always liked the S2K but it could never hang with my RX-7 and after reading everything about the 370Z it seemed it would leave my 7 in the dust on straights and turns.
I've owned a '93 FD RX-7 and also a Mazdaspeed Turbo Miata. Never an S2K, but I have test driven one. What all these cars have over the Z is they're much lighter in weight and thus have a "feeling" of agility the Z just doesn't have.

On paper the Z is the better sports car perhaps, but that doesn't mean "more fun to drive" for some. I think that's what's being expressed here.

Got it that is how I feel about most muscle cars where as yes they are faster perhaps in raw power but they just aren't fun to drive. I was just hoping the 370Z would have the same fun factor as the FD and S2k style cars.
