You may be correct, but it depends on the traditional classification vs. some more modern ones. I stand corrected if I'm wrong.

OP please update us on the Diminished Value claim...im extremely currious to see how the insurance company is going to handle it...these type of claims are VERY rare here in cali.

Will do, im right in the middle of getting the car repaired, apparently after the car is finished the claims adjuster comes out and can THEN do a diminished value report. I am still in the middle of researching what my options are and may need to contact a lawyer. Will keep u posted

C'mon broseph...I know everyone's not exactly Sherlock Holmes, but that ones easy. Her mirror was pushed in by his mirror (they kinda fold back easier than they fold in). If he pulled in and hit HER, HIS mirror would be the one pushed in...unless for some ungodly reason, 1) this woman likes to push her mirrors in on both sides after leaving her vehicle, or 2) he BACKED his car into the spot and pushed her mirror in.

Furthermore, looking at the car parked in front of both of them, that guy is too far to the right for him to really back in properly...not to mention the shopping cart in his way.

Im going to simply go with, "the OP isn't lying, because why the hell would someone even make up some ridiculous story like that, rather than simply not telling ANYONE?"

I agree any reputable body shop can make the color the car. Your car has ( ALL CARS HAVE) a paint code on them, that code is the paint formula for mixing that color! Just so you know, when they are painted at the factory the paint used is usually the lowest bidder. For example Nissan may use DuPont for a year or two then Sikkens may out bid DuPont and Nissan may use Sikkens for a few years. The only good thing about the factory paint is how it is cured compared to the way it is cured in the body shop! All so when they make a color such as silver or red or white even the factory may have several color variances of the same paint code there for you would have to custom make the formula to match a vehicle! At that point the paint code is just a starting point. Good luck on getting your car fixed!

I guess you are right... looking at her pics the other side mirror is out.. so yea... i retract my questionable accusations... apologies

370zproject 06-03-2010 04:52 PM

bump i want to see some pics of the damage

wavehogger 06-04-2010 06:45 AM

How is the diminished value claim going? Is your car fixed yet? My family member isn't getting anywhere with his claim. A lawyer even said that Mass Insurance Law doesn't recognize diminished value. He wouldn't even take the case. Hope you're having better luck.

See what happens when you let to many immigrants into this country. They don't respect our nation and our love for our cars like we do. You can tell this by her back bumper. This obviously is not her first encounter. I am not a very rationale person as most of you are. If this were me I would have stabbed my tire iron through her torso and stuck her on the front of her hood for all to see. I do not know about you guys but the other day I saw a bran new mercedes SL63 amg in the parking lot there was an open spot next to it but i passed because I know how much that car costs and I respect it enough to give it some space. I will do this to any nice car that I know is babied. Why couldnt this stupid Cu@t do the same. Like I said total disrespect to this country and our values.
