Plus you're likely to get one of these stuck to your car.

Diminished value is a must!

With this ladies driving skills and vision I'm sure his car would be ****** up far worse if he parked in the middle of two spots. I'd go as far to say her car would be on top of his.

Just to give you all an update, i went to the appraiser and he is filing the papers with the Nissan dealership, which i have heard does incredible body/pain work, i dont think you can go wrong with having the dealership do it. My insurance company just has to approve it, so i have to wait and see at this point. ALSO, i will be hiring a LAWYER to review whether or not to sue her for diminished value or loss of value. So i will keep you all posted on that AND POST "AFTER" pics

I called the dealership today and told them what happened and they are very saddened and pissed. This was the only one they sold, so they are not happy

Glad you got a laugh out of it, man. Diminished value is typically paid by the other driver's insurance company, assuming the other driver was at fault (which she obviously was in your case). Point is, you shouldn't need to sue to get DV.

Btw, I'm thinking that lady needs one of these on her car:

Seriously, taking up two spots will draw you as much scorn as leaving your dog in the car on a hot day. You become the villain, because people ain't got enough problems in their own lives that they have to hate on you.

Double parking is when you're parked next to a car that's already parallel parked, ie you're in the middle of the street. I've asked the local cops about doing that and they say it's not illegal to take up two spots in a parking lot. And no other people have no legal right to intentionally damage your car just because they feel like being an asswipe that day. That's why I said take up two spaces out in the lot somewhere away from most cars. I also have a 2004 Spec V and on at least a couple of occasions people have parked too close on purpose because they're dickheads. When I saw Iron Man 2 this past friday some asswipe in a chevy malibu decided to try to crowd my driver side even though i specifically parked next to the median curb and as far as i could so that people couldn't park too close. I will not let people mess up my cars period. If yall want to be passive about it and let people f-ck up your cars that's your choice but i'll be damned if I let some loser cost me any money.

My point is, people mess with your car regardless. I guess you're right that taking two spots will lower your vulnerability, but if they wanna get at you, they're gonna.

I think you have kinda answered why guys go out of their way to do bad things to cars taking 2 spots. It draws attention and its not good attention. Yes they are haters but since you asked for the attention by taking 2 spots they are more than happy to give you attention by screwing with the car. I have had 3 very nice cars in the last 10 yrs and I park regular next to others and all and I can actually say I have not had a noticable door ding from cars hitting mine with their doors. Lucky? Probably but Im sure if I always took 2 spots someone would go out of their way to screw with the car.
