the only answer is to run them off the road and while they are crashed go and burn the car. Preferably with them inside.

Or just switch lanes.

this all depends...if im able to change lanes, i will...if its someone that i've noticed has been driving like a **** (swerving, tailgating, etc), i may just stay just to piss them off. if i dont have any room to change lanes and they just feel like being 2 inches from me, i usually flick my emergency lights which gives them enough fear to back up.

sometimes i opt to deploy the oil slicks or the tire spikes too. that's quite effective.

I was always taught to tap your brakes/flash your brake lights to let the person know they're too close. But certainly don't slam on your brakes...unless you're looking to get rear-ended.

The other option is to just switch lanes.

Either way, I don't play games on the road with my car. I definitely don't try to piss the driver off...sounds like a recipe for disaster. If the person doesn't know it's not ok to tailgate, you're certainly not going to teach them that lesson in that moment, imo.

I mean its basic drivers ed man, someone tailgates you then move out of their way. Its a much smarter option than slamming your breaks or speeding up whether its a cop doing the tailgating or any other person. If there is no lane to change to then slow down, put on you blinker and pull over for a second. I would much rather get to my destination 20 seconds later than start a dumb fight with a drunk driver or end up with a ticket. There are also proven ways to greatly lessen the chances of getting a ticket if you do get pulled over, just do some research. Works for some cops, others just need to hit that quota, but you may as well try rather than make it immediately clear to the officer that youre pissed off he pulled you over for doing something explicitly illegal.

I usually switch lanes and let he/she by. But if I'm in a foul mood, I switch lanes, let them by, then tailgate them so they know what its like.

Of course the best way to avoid any dilemmas is to move to another lane or even moving your car into gravel if another lane is not available and even getting out of the car and warning other drivers holding a sign saying "Beware of tailgater".

But we are not in a perfect world, if everyone was that nice in the first place, the tailgater wouldn't exist.

If there's an open lane I just move out of the way. I try to be mindful and check my rear once in a while (as I hope others will when I'm coming up behind them)

I would move over if there's a spot. If not, I would just go by the speed limit and that person needs yo move if they want to pass me

Flipping them off is just childish, I would usually just move out of the way and switch to another lane, but if they still insist on tailgating me, I'll probably do a light brakecheck them to tell them to back the **** up.
