High pitched beep from front of car.

I decided to ride my bike to work today, so I started the Z and backed it out of the garage so I could pull my bike out, and shut it off. When I got back into the Z to move it into the garage, as soon as I closed my driver door I heard a fast high-pitched electronic beeping tone from the front of the car. Anyone know what that beep is for?

I'm not sure....I know when I turn the car on and if I exit (with keys in pocket), it'll beep at me, but I dont recall ever hearing beeps when im in the car...

thats if you try and hit the button to lock the door (on the handle) when the key is inside the car. OR if the door is open and you hit lock on the Fob. could be for other things as well. But it basically means 'you may have tried to lock your key in your car and i wont let you'

I know that noise, but that's not the one I'm talking about. I'm talking about car off with doors unlocked, keys in my pocket, open door, get in, shut the door, right when door shuts I hear a high pitched fast electronic beep coming from the front of the car like under the hood. I've heard it only a few times. The times that I've heard it were when i left my doors unlocked with my car in the garage. Then the next time I get in to go for a drive as soon as i shut the door i hear it. I'm thinking that it could be a reminder that you left your doors unlocked maybe?

Check your lights, it's not in the auto or off position.
