It comes down to what you like,if you want a car that everyone else has buy a Mustang, you want something a little more rare buy a Z ,its all personal taste,if your in a Z forum and not a Mustang forum you must have a reason.

Recognizing the competition is just being intelectually honest. Next year the mustang is the only competition for the 370Z at that price point in my book. One handles a bit better and traditionally has better build quality, the other is going to flat out outperform in all but the tightest tracks. The two are neck and neck with each having it's advantages over the other. The Mustang is an ugly car, but you can't but help respect it's performance capabilities.
