I noticed a few of you think the Z needs more horsepower, this isnt an issue, the Z has plenty horsepower, but what it lacks is Torque, 270 ft./lbs isnt going to cut it these days, I'd like to see the TQ numbers on par with the HP, 332hp with 310-315 ft./lbs would be a good target to hit.

The only engine I can think of that comes close to what you would like (me too) is in the Carrera S. A 3.8 that makes 310 lb./ft.

Nissan could probably make an engine similar to it, but the Z would be very expensive.

The VK45DE from the last gen M45 would've been perfect in this Z. 325-335 range for hp and tq. Plus it would sound badass.

The camaro v6 makes approx. 304hp@7000prm and 295lbs tq. @5000rpm Why do people keep saying that higher torque is either impossible or will make it expensive?

The Z can use the extra torque. But a thread like this is pointless!!! You know why? Because NISSAN could give a sh1t about what we think... they only make changes when the bogus car mags are unanimous in judging negatively on an issue. And with that, the car mags gotta harp on the issue for nissan to budge.
Nissans are generally good cars, but nissan corporation is full of sh1t. You want changes? Mod it yourself cuz nissan could care less.

I think you have it here more torque makes everything move faster and feel better. The 4.0 liter in the Xterria would help, but its tuned for lower rpms, A sales manager told me the manual gearbox is smoother than the Zs. Give me the 5.6 liter V8, I would even settle for a smaller bore version.
