I have a 09 370Z I bought 14 months ago when I traded my 2005 350Z in. My 370Z has 18K miles on it.

I live in Orlando, FL.

Yes, the performance of the 370Z is much better than the 350Z. 370Z pulls hard in upper RPMs. 350Z puttered out it seemed in high RPMs. Suspension is much better both in handling and ride, which was an impressive combination of improvements.

Noise seems similar to me. Neither is a quiet ride because they are sports cars. Buy Michelins, it will be quieter then. You will still get rocks and pebbles bouncing in the wheel wells though.

Oil temps are no problem at all. None. I drive fast sometimes. I drive in bumper to bumper highway traffic too. Non-issue.

Transmission is the same, but if you shift well it is not clunky. You just have to know how it is and how to drive it.

So very different its hard to compare specifics.

The 300ZXTT is faster and lower and wider, and that gives it a totally unique feel compared to other Z's I have owned (82,86,05,09). The turbos give it a different performance feel altogether, and my 300ZXTT is modded so the performance difference is substantial.

But thats not to rag on the 370Z at all. I love it. Far and away better than the 350Z.

The differences of the two cars (300ZXTT & 370Z) are what makes this the best combination of Z's I have owned. You won't feel like you are driving the same car when you switch to the other.

To me its a good setup to have the 300ZXTT as a weekend car and the 370Z as a daily driver that you never get tired of driving.

It is wider than the 370z.
It weights less.
Shorter wheel base
A bit lower.

Basically the same HP/Torque numbers as the 370z, I believe HP is slightly less (10-15) which is made up in loss of weight. The 350z v. 300ZX (both stock) went to the 300ZX, the 370z is actually the probably a bit faster but still a tough race.

my comment was about the 300ZX being faster, no model of the ZX was faster from 0-60 or 1/4 mile, i think there was a thread about this awhile back.

They are very close to each other, again the tip of the hat goes to the 370z but not by much. I never said the 370z would lose, I was just providing facts that the 300ZX is a strong competitor even today, do not under estimate them.

The poster asked how did the 370Z compare to the 300ZXTT. I assumed he was talking about the two cars I own, not an in-general comparison of the cars as they rolled off the assembly lines.

I didn't own my 370Z 12 years ago when my 300ZXTT was stock, so hell, I don't know how stock vs stock would go. I imagine it would be close but the 370Z would probably win.

My 300ZXTT (with no body kit and a properly installed Borla exhaust - I agree with chuckd05 on that stuff) is lower and faster and wider than my 370Z.

I went on to say that my 300ZXTT was modded so I figured most folks would take that into consideration when my post was read.

Bottom line to me is they are both fun cars (and the 370Z is a big improvement over the 350Z).

One other thing... the vg30dett is capable of more then 400whp.

False. I was driving back from San Antonio to Austin. My car went into limp mode, and I pulled over in San Marcos. Did some outlet shopping and hit the road in 30 mins after it cooled down. Temp outside was 100+ and I was on cruise going ~78
