370Z vs G37S coupe
i know this topic has been beaten to death, but i'm not talking about performance differences here. with a fully loaded 370Z comes in at the similar price as a similar equipped G37S coupe, for those of you cross shopped the two, what made you choose the Z? let's say number of seats isn't the deciding factor here.

Post-concept G37coupe was a ID mistake.

If I was 10 years older, the G would have appealed to me, but fortunately im 25 and still have to have my speed fix daily.
|
If number of seats wasnt the issue... and you could live with 2 - I would imagine that the less weight and more agressive handling (assuming the engine is the same :p) will tip you in favor of the Z save for insurance-ish costs etc....
|
The G37 is the skyline in the rest of the world. So it has heritage. Basic differences lux vs sporty. It's that simple.

Didn't like the looks of the g37 exterior when compared to my previous g35.

It depends on what you're looking for.
I choose the z so I can **** on people. :D |
I like cars with two seats.

I picked the Z because I like two seats, and the true sports car. |

I think it comes down to wanting a rear shelf to put **** on or even a baby seat.
Sometimes I wish I didn't have that seat since my friends want to pile in it instead of their sedans. |

I will say that I do like S5's and I love the M3...but again...not going to shell out $55-60K for an M3. |
The only problem with the 370z is that youll pick up more girls with it then you have seats to put the girls in.... the G attracts, but not like the Z. (i went from G35 to 370 with no regrets so far after a month!)
|
If you depend on a car to attract girls, that's lame...lol
|
The larger dimensions make the G a slower and less handling capable car. The Z is a sports car that gives you no excess, the G is meant for those looking for some performance but love aesthetic mods more.

Why do we need to compare a 2 seat sports car to a 4 seat sports car?
Keep it Apples to apples..... |

Just noticed you're from MTL... cool  |
I'd honestly rather have the G37s, because of the luxury and extra back seat, but I wasn't going to spend an extra 10-13k for a car. 40k was already pushing it!.

lucky for me there is a 4 seat 300zx! you can carry two girls at least with you in the 370z haha. |
I've had three in my Z so far, one sitting on ones lap in the front and one laying in the prone position in the hatch lol, ahh to be good looking and drive a hot car, one of lifes simple pleasures..
|
The Z looks better than the G. Looking at the Gs and the old 350s now while comparing them to the 370, they look really out of proportion with their longer wheelbases. Sorry, but, yuck.
And the Gs are way too common around here. And more girls seem to drive them. And they're too conservative looking. And that flat back end does nothing for me. And I'm still not convinced by Japanese luxury cars. Simply swapping out badges and sticking extra gadgets in and softening the ride of another model does not a luxury car make. ;) If I ever want to go back to 4 seats, I'm going to go German again. :D |

Lol... that's funny cuz I been head up with two Z's already n chewed em both up n spit em out. I was in a G (skyline370gt). Sometimes a cars rep can't save you. The driver means so much more than the car on so many levels. |
