370Z vs G37S coupe

I didn't like the lights and grills of the 350 or G35. So I think Nisaan made an improvement on both.

So now were paying msrp for cars are we? I got my 08 g37s with nav otd for 44k, really don't want to argue anymore. The z is the better car anyway.

In my opinion:

The 370 is a sports car.
The G37s is a sporty car.

As a daily commuter, especially in the snow belt, the G37 is the "smart buy". But if I was starting from a place of practicality, I'd be looking at a Accord Coupe.

I tend to classify performance cars in these categories.

Sporty car vs. Sports Car vs. Race car

Both cars a head turners for me. Love to see them drive by.

I love to drive mine, but I never get to see the gorgeous exterior in motion...

HAHA, I'm turning 28 this year and I second to the supporting fiancee. I test drove the G37S as I also had that same question, but until you actually sit in one and test drove one, you'd realize instantly that the G37s isn't a real sports car and it doesn't give you that fun and excitement you'd get in a Z. The looks of the Z is much better, and at my age, I don't plan to have kids so I can deal without the 2 seats in the back. As for the money I'm paying for a fully loaded I could get an Infiniti G37s...which to some people think it's better because it's like a luxury brand and you're moving up in life if you're being saw in one of those. But my honest opinion is that I don't like the looks of the G37s, it's all bubbly and the front is just plain ugly. I apologize to people who owns it as you may feel different, but that's just how i feel about that car's looks. It just doesn't look sporty at all; you sit much higher off the ground, and it doesn't handle as well. Sure infiniti has a little more amenties, but I still prefer having a Z because it's a much funner car to drive (plus it has Syncro-Rev, which the G37S does not have)

Last year I saw 2 brand new Silver fully loaded 2008 G37S that's been sitting at the dealership for almost a year old (b/c of the economy crisis) for $35K (before tax), I woulda paid less for it than my fully loaded 370z and prolly woulda gave me more of a Status symbol than what I get with a "Nissan" brand. But in the end, I knew I'd be lying to myself to what I actually like if I ended up with a G37S.

Btw, I may offend a lot of people for saying this, but I think the G37S is a nice car because of the package it comes in for such a price, but when it comes to exterior looks, the 370z wins hands down.

Well, you are in a 370z forum, so I doubt you'll offend like-minded people.

They're gorgeous cars for distinctly different audiences with different tastes. My GF doesn't like the 370z at all but likes my G.

if the 370z came out a bit sooner, I woulda definitely picked it 2 years ago cause IMO a 19 year old fits better in a Z than a G37..for me it was either a 40k Nismo 350z vs. a 40k G37...I went with the G

the z is just way f-ing cooler. james bond had a Z! whats cooler then a 2 seater. its also way more agressive in terms of styling. it's unique. i see 2 to 3 G37 a day in rockland/westchster county N.Y. when i want luxury i'll get a bimmer or benz. why half step it? get that z in solid red or p.graphite. I love my z because of no backseats. With the four seater I feel like theres people behind me.
