Of course, you'll either need a wiring diagram for the vehicle or do a lot of "hunting" for the wire's termination in the cab.

I wonder if the "switch" for the rear fog is designed to be on the stalk (with the headlights) or if it's a stand alone rocker switch on the dash somewhere???
Nissan has been doing "automatic" fog lights for a while. There's no switch. When the computer detects fog, it turns the fog lights on. There MAY be an Auto/Off switch, but there isn't going to be an On switch. My neighbors G35MT6 had no clue how it did it, but it was all automatic.

Somewhere on this board (or the "other" one) there is a PDF of the entire owners manual (not sure if USDM or otherwise) that clearly talks about using the foglamp "on" selector found on the turn signal/headlight stalk.

Since the USDM cars do not have this stalk (and thus the on/off selector), it will have to be bought if wanting the OEM look.

On my current Nissan, I have fogs and have a stalk that allows me to selct fogs on/off. I'd imagine this is how the rear fog wold also work. I could see some type of auto on/off on the Infinity's, but to have them add the auto system on the Nissan brand just seems out of character.

The non-US models have the switch on the stalk. Anyway, I'd like to install a high-intensity strobe light in that space. That way, I could blast a-holes who tailgate. Want to ride my a$$? Here, have a fistful of blinding light. Enjoy driving off the road into a tree. Okay, that sounds a little extreme, doesn't it? lol

Not to mention illegal...I could imagine all sorts of charges if you ever did that and actually caused an accident.

Still...it's nice to think about isn't it.

LOL! You stole my idea!!! Except I wanted to use one of those 10 million candle power lights instead of a strobe. That way it just KEEPS blinding them with hot yellow light. The second you turn it off, all they see is a big yellow dot everywhere they look!

Ok, it was bugging me, so I crawled under the car at 1am with a flashlight.
This picture was taken with an iphone cam, so it's not very good, but you can clearly see the wiring harness going to the enclosure box, and from what I can tell in the dark, it looks like there is a bulb of some type in it. So it's not just a lens with nothing behind it, it appears to be complete. Now we just have to figure out how to get it to turn on

Rep points please for crawling under the car at 1am in the dark :-)

OK. So maybe it's a missing relay?

+1 Rep for the crawl!

So, can you tell us exactly what is covering the "true" red lens?

On the Z's I've seen, it is solid black (like there's a coverplate on it) instead of the bright/reflective red that is shown in all the JDM/Euro pics.

?? Mine's red. There's no solid black plate on it.

Me too. Some wanker who likes to tailgate people, probably.

Okay, to be clear. I WAS just kidding. I would never actually do that, nor would I recommend that anyone else do that. I usually just ignore tailgaters. Mind you, I don't get tailgated often anyway, so . . .

Yeah, in the owners manual it shows you how to turn it on on the headlight/turn blinker stalk.

Mine is red, but it is really dark red, looks like it was tinted, like a dark red wine bottle. Definitely a lot darker then the ones in the JDM pics. Probably would need to replace the lens cover with the bright red one, unless you just wanted a dim glowing effect. That might actually look good. I know the ones on my Mini Cooper are super bright, if there is a car behind me when there on, they usually change lanes. LOL. I really only put those on in the rain, and of course fog, but we don't get a lot of that here in Ca. :-)
