haha, not yet... but I do plan to use it for both on mar 6/7... pretty useful stuff!

All, in case it is not clear what "problem" we are trying to solve... one of our members recently had their crankshaft position sensor completely melt as a result of a moderate track outing... it costs about $70 to replace the sensor and you are guaranteed to have downtime if it melts... for those that track their Z, you either need to create some heat shielding or keep spares of the part... this heat shield should solve the problem

Pic... it is part # 23731T (CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR - 370Z (Z34) 2009+ :: Nissan Parts, NISMO and Nissan Accessories - Courtesyparts.com)

I'm interested. I think the sensor will probably survive the average 20m HPDE session, but long sessions with sustained high-rpms will definitely build a lot of heat in that area.

Unfortunately I'm not sure it is going to be worth becoming a forum sponsor to do this one small item, of which you will probably only sell a dozen. Not that I wouldn't want to see AK pick up a few more sponsors to help pay the bills, but it just doesn't seem cost effective. If you could add a few more "trick" items to your line card it might be worth it, otherwise your probably better off listing them on eBay and letting people find you.

I have a few more up my sleve but I only do race cars and not street, so I doubt anyone wants a chromoly steering shaft, or scoops to replace your read windows.

+1 I don't think enough people actually track their car enough, or at all, for it to make it worth wild to become a forum sponsor.
