Suggestions for Z Logo

Just for fun, another wild Z and another one I had thought about (because the Z and the 7 both slant) but it didn't quite come out looking as good

Very creative. I like the one on my right. There's potential there. I'm just not creative enough to work those beautiful numbers (370) into the logo in the right way. So far, sticking with the "Z" affixed to the motorsport floor mats I installed yesterday. But I continue to be open to suggestion. Thanks a million for your time.

How would it look to widen the Z stem and make it and the rest of the Z hollow and write the 370 in red into the stem (going up and down)?

You're talking about making the middle of the Z wide enough to put "370" (in smaller size) inside it running on a slant with the "3" at the bottom running to the "0" on top?

Kind of like this (but tilted)?

..0
.7
3

Exactly. Headrest is black. Red Z is silver outline (like your gold outline under your name in the margin) with the 370 written in black in the middle solid red stem (or we could hollow out the Z, making it black inside, outlined in red and write the 370 in red), all going bottom to top, as you've done it, only more tilted. How does that sound? Can you draw this for me?

If you like any of the styles, but don't favor the typeface of the 370, that can be changed (to some degree).

And, these are low resolution.

Anyway, if none of them are "your cup of tea", no problem. Just thought I'd try a few things out.

Gee, any one of them is super. I think I like the second one or the last one. I'll show them all to the embosser when the seats come in. I hope he is as good an embosser as you are a graphic designer! Thanks again. I'll let you know how it all turns out. Enjoy your weekend and stay well. I stayed home today due to all this snow and wind---no Z weather in sight!

I think the OP should ask Katzkins if they can do logos like that. Im not talking about infringing on the "Z" thing but I think they can only do basic letters but Im not sure. They are cool looking embloms and it would look good with one of them but just not sure they can do it.

Well, once again, the letter Z doesn't have the "chrome" look to it, it isn't the same font (mine is Times). Any Z will have to resemble "their" Z to some extent...that's the nature of Zs. It's not copied from anything Nissan has used. The numbers run inside the Z and I've never seen that with Nissan before.

So what you're saying is that no one can ever paint, for example, the letter Z on his 370Z? I find that hard to believe.

Katzkin guy said he didn't expect a problem. Slynky's analysis makes sense to me. My son's a copyright attorney. I'll check with him and finally get a return on my investment in his JD!

Re-reading...

I may have missed the point you were trying to make. So, you're saying they (Katskins) may only be able to stitch in standard text letters of one font or another instead of having the capability to stitch in some custom graphic.

Hmmmm...very possible. However, I guess I was equating what they would do similar to the internet places that do custom embroidery on polo shirts and so forth.

None of Slynky designs will infringe on thier logo. The "Z" in my car is just a basic "Z" and they said that was no problem. Im just not sure how detailed they can go on the emblom design.

On their website they say they can do custom logo's.
Maybe it's just extra money.

If Nissan owned the letter Z then Zorro should be sued!!

Could be true, mine were done as a part of the sale cuz I didnt want the Persimmons so I was probably limited to what I was allowed to have done.
