PM Sent. I really appreciate all the help you guys are contributing. My dreams could be a reality soon if I can get a dealership in the Vegas area or within a couple hundred miles to comply.

Did I do my math right on your formula spreadsheet for a 40th anniversary?

MSRP--------INVOICE
$38,860.00---$35,747.00 Without Plan
$34,923.53---$34,366.53 With Plan

So the dealership would have to give me the car at $34,366.53 before taxes & fees? Or is the $34,923.53 number. That seems pretty hard to swing unless I am just way off? Thanks in advance everyone!

Wow...we are almost halfway through the Month of March already!!!

While I can issue numbers even up to March 31st, realistically, I would HIGHLY SUGGEST that if you are going to or think you are going to take advantage of this that you contact me no later than March 23rd both to give me time to get the claim number issued and you time to find the vehicle you want and close the deal by the 31st.

Thanks to all the MANY of you that have already requested claim numbers from me...the response has been terrific!

Spreadsheet is a little confusing down near the bottom - the numbers on the top show MSRP and Invoice for everything without the plan. The $34,923.53 is if you get the car with the Plan but pay MSRP for all the Options while the $34,366.53 is if you get the car with the Plan but pay Invoice for all the Options. I would expect you to be somewhere in that range. Note that those numbers don't include Destination & Handling as well as taxes, tags, etc. and also assumes the dealers will participate with you on the 40th Anniv Edition model - good luck and let us know what happens.

Robert thanks so much for the VPP claim info. I now have the paperwork I need to at least be ready to commit to a deal if any dealers throw me a bone. I live in Las Vegas and so far have found about 5 different 40th anniversarys for sale in town. Most are tagged at 40-42k on the window. I'm going to call each one trying to convince them to work with a VPP. Any other suggestions as to any dealerships within a decent distance to Las Vegas that could possibly play ball would be greatly appreciated. If none of them bite I guess I'm going to have to settle for a PG 6MT +Sport and put the money saved into it.

Hey Robert,

Thanks to your VPP and me spending 5 hours calling Nissan's around the area I have found a 40th at the VPP price! This is from another thread but I wanted to post it here because you guys seem to really know this stuff:

Talked to about 5 dealerships and most of them said they would not honor the VPP plan on the 40th edition. Finally one of them realized they aren't going to get MSRP on this thing and played ball.

Sale Price with VPP Plan B: $34929.88
The total OTD with dealer documentation, title, and tax comes to: $38,911.00.

The dealer has not broken down exactly what costs what on the OTD price. I live in NV so the taxes should bring it to $37,759.20 which means there is $1151.80 that I am not quite sure about on the OTD pricing. I think the $720 destination fee is part of that which leaves $431.80 that I am unsure of.

This OTD price is the first possible price they have brought me and I have not negotiated back at all yet. Can anyone suggest what I should counter with? I know the price is already great but I still think these guys sound like they are willing to budge a little more.

Hey Robert, PM sent! Thanks so much for helping us out with this program. I would love to grab a 370Z but the wife says I can't have a 2-seater! Oh well, a 2010 G37S will just have to do!!! Thanks again!

To the best of my knowledge, this particular program is for the U.S. residents only.

Robert,
how does this work exactly?
For example if I am interested in a 2010 370Z Base with Sport Package 6MT from Royal Palm Nissan in South Florida?

Thank you

Adam

My original post has some basic data and the link I provided there has a lot more.

Essentially, I'd suggest that the first thing you need to do is find a dealer that will participate in the VPP program on a 370z...since you already know that a particular dealer has the car you are looking for, obviously I would start with that dealer but if he won't participate I'm sure you can find one who will.

Beyond that, once the exact car is picked out, the dealer sells you the vehicle at the predetermined actual invoice price of the vehicle less the 4.3% discount (there are some things that can be added to that but they are limited to things like taxes, dealer installed options that were not on the vehicle when it left the factory, etc).

It's a no-haggle deal at a discount that, except in very unusual circumstances, will be a better deal than you can ever hope to negotiate on your own...the dealer makes a predetermined fee as his "profit" for handling the sale and you get a good deal!

do you need a VIN for a specific vehicle?
