Parking.

FAILURE.. Got to college today, which has incredibly limited parking, and I see the usual black toyota tundra parked somewhat near his usual spot.
He's usually over the line a little bit but never this bad..
Wtf? http://i48.tinypic.com/10h9c7m.jpg <-- shoddy iphone pic

vipor 02-09-2010 04:53 PM

You should've shared some of that spot with him.

trent1331 02-09-2010 04:58 PM

Hah, to the left of that spot is the corner of the lot, some other big truck hopped the curb and shared the half of that spot

antman22 02-09-2010 05:00 PM

man that's horrible. looks like you could have parallel parked in that amount of space between the two trucks lol

Yeah, they'll key them instead.

LOL!
hell yeah, especially at school with shitty/crazy parkers. :ugh2:
Take 2 or take the ends.
That's the saying! :driving:

fullmonty 02-09-2010 10:11 PM

I'd say take the ends, I always do. If I took up 2 spots like that it i'd be afraid someone would key my car.

TamZ 02-09-2010 10:25 PM

I park my car in the college parking lot everyday. I park in the very last end space and have to walk forever to get to my classes but so far, 2 years and not a single door ding (knock on wood) yet on either of my cars. There is a G37 that parks next to me, we both take the same spots everyday. I get there 1/2 hour early to get that spot!

Take two or take the ends!
All day, everyday!
Unless you park next to your friends! :happydance:

motoextreme 02-09-2010 10:45 PM

Those of us that went to the last MEET know what happens when you take the ends. Guy in a G had nothing less then a $10K paint job on a G35 and full body kit. Wasn't paying attention and turned into the curb when he left.

All of us cringed...man did it sound bad! Bummer for certain.

Seeing you on this board more and more Tamz, husband isn't going to be happy with you hanging with all these motorheads :)

I don't blame you, thank God for facebook, keeps my wife busy while I mess around on this board a few days a week. Also stops her from buying those damn red soled shoes.... I'm going to go to payless, paint all the cheap shoes with red gloss paint and then it wont be so special to own them :bowrofl:

Ohhhhh...Louboutins, eh? :) I know..I finally made it to 100 posts. I even became a premium member (but still haven't heard yet about when those 370z.com stickers will be coming? LOL)

He doesn't mind..I tell him all the different things I read about on here. Heck, I've even made a few friends. I love facebook too :) But none of my girlfriends really know what to do with a sportscar, so that is what I have you guys for ;)

motoextreme 02-09-2010 11:09 PM

Very cool, hopefully you'll make it to a meet one day. My wife loves cars too, wont turn a wrench but these days I rarely do either.

Sorry for the threadjack, hope to see you out there one day. Keep having fun, I know I will :)

didymus 02-09-2010 11:10 PM

I have been known to spit on the windshield of particularly bad parkers. Right in front of the driver is the best spot!

I generally do the exact same thing you do, but he had the end spot halfway taken. He always parks there too, but just never that far over..
I swear its almost like he does it unintentionally..

That is insanely hilarious. I'm not even sure how you could not be embarrassed about such a job.

Also, sick avatar. ;)

Opeth, yes sir.

Zguy 02-10-2010 01:25 PM

I try to park on the passenger side of people if I cant park away from everyone.... although I would probably be pissed if someone took up 2 places if its a packed parking lot, I would understand..... messing with someones car whether its spitting on it or keying it would definately warrant retribution.

If I walked out to see someone spitting on my car or keying it they would recieve 750k volts while I watched them flop around like a fish out of water..... Messing with someones car is just something I dont condone even if they are a douchebag.....

vipor 02-10-2010 01:27 PM

I try to park near a curb so I can pull as close as possible to save room.

At work I typically use 2 spots, but there's a lot of empty suites in our office park.

kenchan 02-10-2010 02:07 PM

how about you remove one of the tires and place it on the hood?

;)

I know your location says eastern oklahoma, but that sure does look like SNU's parking lot in Bethany.

kdoske 02-10-2010 09:22 PM

Haha, it's the same at our house. We used to fight over the laptop until we realized the simple solution - his and hers laptops.

Me=car forums
Her=facebook and blogs

And don't get me started about shoes...:shakes head:

Mine HATES the fact that I am on this site all the time. She's not that big into Facebook or anything like that so she just usually yells at me about being on here.

The only way to make it better is to take her to Bloomingdales :shakes head:

theDreamer 02-11-2010 11:13 AM

You guys would love my office for parking.
It is a small office <20 people and basically it is just an open area behind the building. Three cars park near each other (2 mustangs & my Z) and everyone else leaves us alone basically and tries to get as close to the building as possible. We try to park nicely with enough space to respect each other, every so often someone in the office tries to be funny and park near us, it is not funny.

On campus I pay extra to park in a parking garage, top floor or one below is usually 65% full at the most so plenty of spaces free to have extra room on either side.

This morning as I was walking to class, I saw this fun surprise that someone left me last night:

http://i920.photobucket.com/albums/a...44556847_0.jpg

And the driver (of a Saturn Aura, no less ) had Faculty tags in the car, so he or she could've parked inside the University garage. I left a quick one word note on the person's windshield: "Douche". I used my left hand so if the driver turned out to be one of my professors, I wouldn't be identifiable.
Parking in the city blows.

Uhm, hope you're planning on making them fix your car. Even if it's just a 100$ buff and wax.

Oh hell no! A note? Really? That deserved a foot into the drivers door, a nice deep dent. You are very kind.

I hate to say it but it's just part of the city. Can't expect to park on the streets and maintain a perfect paintjob. Just too many idiots with no respect for other people's property, little people with huge SUV's (that don't really belong in an urban environment), and pigeons.
Luckily, my license plate took the blow. In fact the two little nubs actually left slight indentations in the person's rear bumper.
