Luckily, my license plate took the blow. In fact the two little nubs actually left slight indentations in the person's rear bumper.

You see, there is justice in this world!

City driving is insane, there really is no point in keeping a nice car in cities. If I were you I'd buy a beater to take around the city and keep the Z for weekends in the country or the track.

When I first purchased my Z I went to the movies with my wife. When I came out, I found a D-bag with him POS rusted truck parked so close to my car I had to back out to let my wife get in the car. The best part is I went out of my way to pick a place away from everyone

That's too bad waaaasabi that you can't swing another car. I am fortunate to own a 92 explorer (Bought it new and still runs great) that is perfect for snow days and any bad weather. My Z stays safe in the garage, and I am driving a 4wd vehicle in bad weather, win win.

I think when you buy a car like a Z, that really is not what you would classify as "practical" a second car is almost a must. I mean how do you buy something big at the store? I guess you have to get everything shipped to you.

Yeah---I thought that happened only to me and my cars. Really makes one mad and that guy parking practically on top of you always has an old, dirty junker all dinged and scuffed up and there's always a thousand other spaces he could have used. Sometimes I wonder if its not some envious s.o.b. just trying to be miserable.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. Back when I drove a miata, I would park out in the sticks just to avoid the door-dings, etc only to come back and find a POS pickup or SUV parked right on top of me way out in the middle of nowhere. That tended to happen alot more at places like WalMart...

OldGuy 02-18-2010 02:11 PM

Yep. This happens with me and my perfect classic Miata M, as well. Plenty of real jerks out there, I fear.

well not really about my 370 but when me and my parents wen to see top gear in amsterdam we parked in the RAI's parking lot.

when we came back there were like 10 cars parked in the spots around the car while the rest was just empty, its like everybody wanted to park near the car -_-

and people used the dust on the car to write stuff like "GT-R = hero" or " lucky bastard" or "**** the 911"

you can even see the "lucky" on this picture to the right of the nissan logo

Have you thought about getting some of those bumper guards things that I see of the front and back of some cars there in NYC?
