Weight on rear view mirror

Why would you hang a gopro instead of using a vacuum mount? It mounts directly to the windshield and works like a charm. Much simpler, and it doesn't interfere with

Yeah. There are plenty on the market and they are super reliable. Isn't that simpler than hanging it off of the rearview mirror? I had it mounted already on both my windshield as well as trunk glass, went to the track and the gopro is super stabile there.
