There are two fuses. 1 for combo meter ( Fuse #4 which you pulled) and another fuse for S-mode switch (fuse #3. both 10A)
Check #3. There is a "signal" connection between Combo meter and S-mode switch. It should be one connector with specific pins. 4.CHECK S-MODE SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN AND SHORT 1. Turn ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect combination meter harness connector. 3. Check the continuity between S-MODE switch harness connector and combination meter harness con- nector. S-MODE switch Combination meter Continuity Connector Terminal Connector Terminal M255 1 M53 12 Existed 4. Also check harness for short to ground and short to power. So you want to check Connector 255, pin 1 at Switch to connector 53 at combo meter pin 12. I highly doubt you have a short but there are "junction" connector (M98) along the way. Those could have not been connected or loose. good luck. Last edited by ZoomZ; 04-11-2022 at 11:15 AM. |

Hey guys, sorry to thread jack. I’m having the same issues with S-mode; it isn’t working. Upon initial start up the S will be displayed in the cluster, then after driving a few seconds it throws the warning on the cluster screen. Codes I’m getting are P2765 input turbine speed sensor circuit B. I’ve changed the sensor on the trans on the left hand side and no avail. For reference, my Z is single turbo and triple disc clutch with cmak. S mode was working perfectly even after the build, and only recently have I run into this issue. I’ve checked the mentioned fuses, all good. I took it to Nissan today, and their scanners couldn’t connect to my Z. Unsure if tuning could be the culprit. Idk if it’s a CAN communication issue, nor do I know where the CAN-BUS wires/connector is located to assess it. I’ve checked all connectors going to the transmission and all is well there too. I’m open to any ideas or advice as I’m truly out of ideas and Nissan was of no help unfortunately.

The customer service in service was actually excellent, the issue was with the tech. Reassembly was so sloppy. He scratched up the top of steering wheel, damaged the leather on my shift knob from use of pliers (was like new), hvac sensor left unplugged, removed my CD from head unit and was never returned.
They stepped up to the plate, and had the scratches fixed, ordered me a new factory shift knob, a free loaner for the day, and didn’t charge me for the unsure diagnosis. I didn’t want to return for the hvac, I pulled the panel and reconnected myself, thanks to forum for that info. I’ll take the CD as a loss. The tech is now saying the S-Mode switch is faulty, it’s brand new though, what are the chances? Not even sure he believes this.

Because the diagnosis was BS! I literally installed a brand new switch a few days prior to dropping off. They just wanted to get my car out of the bay.
It’s currently at another Nissan dealer, they confirmed it’s not the switch, they believe it’s in wiring. After 1 day, they also haven’t figured out.

Honestly just run searches on here. Find the answers. Avoid the stealership. You really want some zit-faced millenial trisexual trying to fix your ride with a flathead screwdriver and a cannabis-infused vape pen?
