Meet my new daily driver. And no, I didn't buy it to 'go green', I'm the last thing from an environmentalist. I regularly spend $500 or more on gas a month with my old Mazda 6, so it just made financial sense. Tesla's panel/paint build quality is horrible too, I refused FOUR cars, I was refusing cars all summer until this #5 came along that was finally perfect. Both cars fully wrapped in PPF.

Respect!! Tesla thinks because it's a Tesla everything is good. That's why cars get repossessed, because people expect one thing and get a bunch of BS! Do your homework because THEY dont care about you!!! Its Numb bers....

Your Z looks beautiful love the color red really pops on the Z must say definitely keep it! My apologies though I was never a Tesla fan I despised Tesla since day one. I already know people how have traded their Tesla’s in for other vehicles some would rather own a Nissan or Infiniti. The Tesla models are not super reliable/dependable as some may think. Good luck when you have to replace battery packs or have electrical gremlins I hope your pockets are deep lol.

Lol, I never said I was a Tesla fan, in fact I always hated Tesla and I hate Elon Musk. But one month I spent $1000 on gas. That's more than a car payment. So do I buy a Nissan leaf, basically a glorified Versa, with the curb appeal of a Versa, or a Model 3 for almost the same price? Choice was easy. There aren't many options in this price range now, maybe I would have gotten the new Nissan Ariya instead, but that's like 18+ months away.

Ps. Where I live, the government paid $13000 for the Model 3. When was the last time the government offered you $13000 to help you buy a new car? That was an offer I couldn't refuse.

Honestly, I would have preferred a traditional gas option. I would have loved a Lexus instead. I also would have LOVED a new manual transmission Bronco, but with the amount I drive I would then be spending $800+ a month on gas. Here is my problem:

Car payment + $500 ~ $600 gas a month + pay full price for car.
Vs
Car payment + drive around for almost free + government subsidized my new car $13000.

My pockets are not that deep.

I may trade-in 2025 for another EV from a traditional auto maker when more appealing options are available. But at least I wouldn't have blown $30,000 on gas in the interim.

That’s $13,000 in tax benefits, not cash. There’s a big difference. And the price of electricity is going up every day. Far from “almost free”.

PS: that Tesla fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

No, it's $13000 cash where I am at, I don't live in the states. They literally deducted $5000 from the purchase price at the point of sale, plus cut me a cheque for $8000. Plus $600 cash towards a charger in your garage if professionally installed with receipts.

I would get a tesla as a daily too if i needed one.

Being anti-environment isn't the flex you think it is. Be proud of going green.

Lol, better than those who 'flex' by buying a Tesla to virtue signal.

Most environmentalists are living in a fairy tale land. I fully acknowledge that my Tesla was highly environmentally damaging to build, with cobalt probably coming from the Congo. But, unlike other Tesla buyers who worship at the Elon Musk shrine, I fully acknowledge that and state the reason I brought it was purely favourable financial incentives for myself.

But thanks for agreeing that it is an excellent daily.

My only dig at Tesla is their anti right-to-repair stance. That's a no go for me when it comes to a vehicle.

My iPhone? IDGAF.

At the end of the day, it's your money and you can spend it any way that you want. Congratulation on this ride!

Seems logical. My dad has a 6 or 7 year old Model S and has had good luck with it.

I have a Ford Flex for long trips or hauling a motorcycle trailer, but for something to do my 4.5 mile drive to work, I'd love an electric equivelent to a Miata. Something light, sporty, and only need a 100 mile range. Really only need a 50 mile range. Most of my wife's and I driving is small trips to my work, or the mall/grocery store that's 5 miles away. If someone made a 2700 lb electric car with like 300 ft lb torque at 600 rpm... I'd be IN!

The government paid nothing, you and your fellow tax payers did! You're Welcome. Keep relying on government "gifts" and you will be forever be in their unending spiral of dependence. Then they have you right where they want you and you're theirs!

Now off to roll coal onto Prius' and Tesla's and watch 'em cry!

Wait until he finds out it costs upwards of $20,000 to replace the batteries, WHEN, not IF they go bad.
