sorry for the big image I am new here Idont know how to set up
|
Some can harp on EVO R (no offense to that company, never bought from them, just speaking out of observation)
But something like that, with who knows how long you've had it on, there's too much grey area to prove it's a quality issue. I just hope this happened on a track and not a highway with other people. |

even the wing broke but it still tigth on the legs

I’m sorry but you were doing 150+, and you’re asking for a warranty on an ooopsie like that? Gtfo
|
This ain't the first wing that broke at 150 mph.

No Evo-R product has any kind of warranty. You should consider yourself lucky you got the product in the first place.
Also, stop driving like a ******* moron. |

Slightly off topic; can someone explain to me why this is OP's fault. Obviously OP should slow down if this was on the streets regardless but say it was done on a track or similar legal like setup, shouldn't the spoiler of held up?
Correct me if im wrong but isn't a spoiler intended high speeds and as far as im concerned there isn't a "speed limit" on it. All this assuming installation was correct of course |
It's a replica wing with no actual testing. I seriously doubt it was made to withstand those speeds and not surprised it didn't.

Sorry to hear about the mishap, but that sounds like exactly what you should have expected from EVO-R. Assuming you actually receive the product, you generally get what you paid for with Jay: cheap a$$ knock-off products :eekdance:
|
Not many (esthetic) aftermarket wings can withstand hurricane force winds and several hundred pounds of downforce, which is what they are subjected to when travelling at 150 mph.
|
A big wing has to stand up a couple feet in the air, with skinny legs, and have to remain standing against tens to hundreds of pounds pushing down, transferring that downward force onto your car.
For a piece like that, function and utmost quality comes first, neither of which EVO-R is good at. Consider yourself lucky you weren’t going through a high speed corner when it broke. |

It seems that these wings are for looks and not function. Maybe they should have a sticker on them saying this? :-)
Oh, and also put on the sticker that in California it has been determined that they produce cancer. |

Oh, and also put on the sticker that in California it has been determined that they belong on Honda's Fify |
This is why I spent the money on the Aeromotions.

Should be a warning sticker out back “follow me at your own risk”. OP, best of luck. Time to invest in some real deal wings. |
The APR wings were used on the Pirelli World Cup Challenge Z cars with the supports mounted to the chassis, not the hatch. What they found was that if mounted to the hatch. At speed, the hatch would bend. Causing the wing to bend and crack, then break.
|
Be happy that's the only thing that broke at 150-155 and move on.

damn you guys flamed him so hard that made him not want to come back on here after reading all the comments. Poor guy was probably expecting something else. lulz
|
This looked pretty light compared to some of the other stuff i've seen lmao.

dont be too offensive guys, I do accept the result of my driving. I am just sharing my story that is. to be honest, I do drive illegal some time but I don't need you guys to judge me like a dear cop and give me a ticket. I was on the street in midnight with some friends. Actually I do think it is my setup problem. I setup up for curving in a mountain road. It was lean forward too much. I was thinking the downforce will reduce the acceleration and max speed, but I did know it will beake. I should not overtrust the quality. what is the next wing should I get for? got a new part from evor or APR gtc 300?
