Shesha, with the seatbelt thing, I kind of thought that's what it was when I first took my car. Now I could be wrong, and you could be talking about something totally different, but the leather/vinyl on the side of the seat seems to make a cracking/rubbing sound as if it's rubbing against the inside structure of the seat itself. Is this where you're talking about? It's right over your left shoulder.

I can't comment on the hatch issue because I don't seem to have that problem.
