Purchasing used Z, unsure to pull trigger

I agree, if it doesn't sit right with you, move on. You WILL find a great deal eventually. I started looking for a 370 since last year. Just on and off, waiting for a really good hard to pass deal. I wasn't in a rush, I saw a couple really good deals but nothing big enough to make me pull the trigger. Then 3 months ago randomly checking auto trader I found the one. Amazing price, low milage. Went to see it, it was mint, paint, interior, engine, under the car. Everything. Some old dude who kept it in the garage and almost never drove it. Bought it on the spot ��

So be patient and you'll find the one eventually

I would bet money the guy is not swapping out OEM parts between his two Z's

But if that's in the back of your mind, the risk may not be worth it to you. Not sure how you've been burned before, but a good inspection and test drive should tell you everything you need to know.

Yeah honestly that's kind of where my head is at as well. As far as being burned before, I wrote it in my previous post:

I say go with your gut. There are a lot of Z's in the world.
Buy the car that feels right.
I looked for two years before I pulled the trigger.

Missed that, my bad. But that sounds like a problem with the test drive. You should be able to overheat the thing in 5 minutes with a blown headgasket. Drive it harder on the test drive next time

Dumba$$ dealer had to replace one of my wheels right before delivery cause they damaged it unloading the vehicle. Mofos seated the bead on the new tire with probably 100 psi. I didn't get far before the tire bubbled (like the size of a football)

if I hadn't driven it so hard right away, it might not have bubbled up until a long road trip out of town, leaving me stranded
