Default Question - KPMF vs Avery wrap

I'm getting the roof of the car wrapped but I need to choose between 2 local shops that both have good reputations. The product difference between the shops are, one uses Avery and one used KPMF. I'm familiar with Avery and it's supposed to be good but I don't know anything about KPMF. It seems relatively popular for car wraps but I don't know about the quality.

Is anyone familiar with KPMF?

Both are excellent.

I have an Avery colorflow base and a KPMF starlight over laminate.

@2011 Nismo#91....How’s that wrap holding up for you? It’s been a number of years that I’ve seen your car and remember back in the day when you first got it. Actually have my car in the shop this week getting wrapped. Using Inozetek...

It's holding up well, some scrapes here and there and rocks still do damage. But the look of the material is near new, mind you I never keep it out in the sun, and I have polished it once a year ago with the finest polish.

Never heard of KPMF. My wrap guy is flown to the Caribbean and Europe to apply wraps to boats and airplanes, including for OEM's. He used to do them for a multitude of IMSA etc. organizations haulers and race cars. He prefers 3M.

I went with the guy that uses Avery and got it done yesterday. Love it but we'll see how it holds up long-term.

Nice. I have printed on Avery on the boat in my Avatar with UV coating. Supposed to be a 6 year lifetime sitting outdoors without a cover. I've seen posts by other owners with boats on lifts in full sun after 6 years and it looks as new as the day it was installed. I wrapped in Avery at my option to save about 15% in cost as compared with 3M.

I did my car with KPMF, its the only wrap that had a color i liked. Its a bit of a nightmare to apply, as its pretty thick and not as flexible. Also removing is a nightmare too as it leaves glue residue which is hard to remove
