I can buy TWO C8’s or one Ferrari for that kind of scratch.

Why would I count that? All that is, is a price dealers are tagging onto the car for those that want to be the first to have it and are stupid/compulsive/impatient (you can choose) enough to pay for it... wait a few months and it'll go back down. Same thing happened with the Focus RS and Civic Type R...

...and not one but TWO C8s for the price of a Supra? Yeah, that car definitely won't get that hype tax either :ugh2:

LOL!! Put a fart can on it, Snowflake! All the other millennials will love it!

Accuses someone of being a snowflake, yet is overly sensitive about one out of numerous unfavorable recent reviews of their car

Also mentions the "modifiability" of the car as a part of its value proposition.

What do you want man? Not everyone is going to see the Z the same way as you do, and that's okay. It's really disappointing to see someone who brags about doing things "longer than these kids have been alive", but hasn't learned the basics of what an opinion is supposed to be.

I'm losing brain cells reading these threads.

Hmm; def a unique "style" of car review. However Id like to hear from the forum on the comments made at approx 15:40, where he states that in the midwest the scca guys nickname our car the "360"Z in reference to a tendency to snap oversteer. Has anyone here (as owners) also heard or experienced a "problem" with snap oversteer?

That's what I was saying in one of my early posts in this thread, from time to time it's like they just speak as a secondhand account.

"It can do this"
"It will do that"
"It has this problem"

It can be true, but hardly any of this is exemplified to actually warrant complaining about it. Or they should speak more in depth about it. I'm not saying they have to be Top Gear, but they need to stay more on point with the driving situation their review is actually based on.

71k up to 120k for a gr in canada... +all the canadian taxes and stuff. At 71k the m2comp is much more tempting.

$35,000 for a NEW sport Z. No reason to spend the extra dough on the Nismo. The extra $10 grand in my pocket will get the Sport fixed up better than the factory NISMO.

I put 5,000 into my sport and it’s already faster than the stock Nismo. The other 5,000 can go towards top guns air to air supercharger kit.

Fair enough. I got it new because i got a deal and an amazing finance rate. I came from a sport touring and i can say the nismo is nicer. I mean 47k usd msrp is like 60k cad and wouldnt touch that. This is the true bargain sports car.

If the supra was 50s and flood the **** out of the market i could see it killing sales like the toyobaru twins super saturating in 2 years

Anything that can be oversteered can be “snap” oversteered. I don’t understand his point.

Yes, it seems to be very unpopular with fanbois to review someone’s review.

The review was for the 2019 50th Anniversary Edition. Where are you getting 10 years old?

The 2019 is minimally different than the 2009. And the vast majority of those differences are tiny cosmetic changes like racing stripes

Even the 2019 370Z is a 10 year old car no matter how you slice it.

Then why waste time reviewing it? You guys are missing the entire point here...

Because it's the internet. That review is just as much a waste of time as this thread. There is no point here.

mikeb 08-20-2019 04:51 PM

When I was thinking about purchasing a Z any/all reviews were watched. After a review I would hit the forums to get additional opinions. As someone mentioned the geese review is more of a he said/she said review, a quick way to get some youtube hits. This thread would likely help someone thinking of getting a Z, since we debunk comments like snap oversteer or the vague on center steering mentioned in the review. If we were to subtract all the silly comments and name calling the thread would be fine. Staying on topic a good thing
