Default On my way home..

As I was pulling in the garage I saw this smoke coming from the bay so I said ok, there is gotta be something leaking. I went to check and it happened to be a small crack in the radiator. I check every coolant hose in the base and they all look fine. Can this be fixed by using stop leak like epoxy or should I replace the entire radiator if it is actually leaking through that small crack. What do you guys think? I am at 41k

I had the same issue. That's the AC heat exchanger. It'll have to be replaced. Mine was done under insurance, so it was $1400 minus the deductable to have the dealer do it. That way I didn't have to mess with the coolant.

A very fine, smoke-like vapor jetting out? And a bright green, chartreuse color dye?
Easy way to prove me wrong . Fire it up and turn the AC on . I thought mine was the radiator, too.
It wasn't covered under warranty for me. I had to make a claim against my insurance.

Yup, smoke was coming out but just a little bit and green liquid. Drove my car on my way to work today and no leaks and the temp was still normal. I checked the reservoir and still on Max. Now the AC doesn’t blow cold like it used to. Who is your insurance?

Something punched a hole in the A/C condenser. Not sure if the condenser can be replaced or if you have to replace the radiator/condenser together.

Try taking it to a radiator shop. Maybe they can fix it.

It's aluminum. That means disposable/through it in the garbage to be recycled.

Insurance is farm bureau. I was getting off of the hi-way behind an 18 wheeler, and he kicked rocks back into the travel lane. I didn't know until I got home.

Found out it is just the freon that was leaking since our engine coolant is the blue stuff. I will be replacing the radiator myself

Yeah, instead of coolant, I should have said refrigerant. I don't have the equipment to evacuate the system, draw a vacuum on it, then properly refill it.
