It'll also be a lot easier and cheaper to get gobs of power out of the B58 and of course the feel of a turbo charged car vs an N/A car is very different. I'd get a Civic Type R if you can stand the looks. |

The only problems with the new supra are it's ugly as hell and there's no manual (yet). |
Low milage Z06....

I am sorry to hear of your unfortunate luck that does suck at least you are ok though. If you are in the market to replace your totaled Z. See if you can purchase a 2018 or 2019 Nismo Z to replace your totaled Z you will love it the Nismo Z is a enjoying vehicle to own!! www.ebaymotors.com www.autotrader.com www.cars.com www.courtesynissan.com www.autonation.com www.autolist.com

Glad you're good - but yeah, most definitely get yourself checked out make sure something doesn't come up after the fact.
If you loved the Z before it was totaled - maybe check out a Nismo. I winded up going from a 2010 Z sport to a 2017 Nismo. The main difference that I found was that the suspension setup felt much better in the Nismo than the sport - although 4700 miles to my 98k miles is a lot to ask for when comparing the 2 so there is that. Also - I can use that little side window that got obstructed by the head of the sport seats. Also, the recaros are something that I really really love in the Nismo - so if you were happy with the Z before hand - i would say you could get a nice slightly used one for low 30s if not high 20s. Add in some mods and a tune and you'll be back in biz. While I think the Mustangs and the Camaros are nice - I just couldn't get one unless it was a ZL1 or a GT350 (just my .02). |
Certainly seems like the previously mentioned cars would all be up your alley. GT350, ZL1, Camaro SS 1LE. Obviously GT350 and ZL1 would probably have to be used, but I think if your budget is that high and your goal is performance, there's no argument that 'Murica is doing pretty well right now.
Also, sucks about the Z. Glad you're alright. I would go get examined, they'll at least do a spine X-ray just to make sure you don't have any fractures. And you'll probably have some degree of whiplash injury if you got hit hard enough. Rest up! |

I've had a hard on for the new q60. Right in your price range for a 2018 used one. I'd trade in my Z if I didn't just get it 2 years ago lol
|
Glad you're okay. I'd look for a used M3 or M5 coming off a lease, those car depreciate substantially and are good deals, especially if you can work on your own car (e.g., brakes, tune up, etc.).
|
Oh god, I forgot about the GT350. I don't care for Mustangs, but the 350GT nailed it down. Damn sexy!
And as for the Supra, It's all about personal preference. I like it so I'm biased. I think the Supra will be easy to extract power out of because it already has all the turbo plumbing. 400hp in that would make for a fun drive. Honestly, the world is your oyster. This is a great time to be alive for sports/muscle cars. |

I have a ‘17 RC F which I got new 2 years ago and sold my ‘09 Z Touring . It’s a nice daily and needed a backseat for the baby.
I find it too heavy and a bit boring so picked a up a ‘14 Z Sport 6MT last month for my fun car fix. I think a cheap manual is more fun than a expensive auto car. I also consider the Z as a bargain Supra based on looks and power. If it was me and if you don’t have a family, I would be looking at C7 GS or Z06. Or get a Z and invest the rest especially when a recession is upon us. After having a new expensive car, I just enjoy the used and older cars more to be honest. So consider 2 fun toys versus one expensive one. My current garage: ‘17 RC F - company car/lease and daily ‘14 Z - fun project car which will end up being a future track car ‘13 FJ Cruiser - dad duties ‘00 S2000 - my forever car which I’ll be buried in |
