Nice. What is the size of the tires and rims?

I had the same issue after tinting my windows and the automatic window roll down.

I temporarily disabled it by removing the screw in the door switch. This is the ground for the system.

my tint peeled in the front lower corner, but never got worse than that, so I'm not bothered.

If you wait and get your car tinted on a sunny, hot summer day it will essentially be dry by the end of the day (schedule your appointment for early in the day so your car sits out in the sun the rest of the day). I got one of my previous cars tinted in January and it took about 5 days before it was completely dry.

This is essentially what I did yesterday. It was high-70's and sunny. D&L told me to wait a few days, but that with as hot as it was, and with them doing some drying to account for the auto-rolldown, It would essentially dry in a day.

I'm not going to risk it, though. Still gonna wait a few days before taking them down.

I wonder if there is a way to temporarily disable this feature?

You'll be fine. All the reputable places that do tint will offer you some kind of warranty, and worst case you take it back to them. They'll also notice the instant they open the door that the windows drop a bit, and know how to deal with it appropriately.

I told my tinter right off, and they said it's not a problem, a number of vehicles are doing that now, and they know how to deal with it.

They also told me that if it peels or wrinkles for any reason, bring it back and they'll fix it.

The one thing I don't like is how it doesn't quite stick around the dots on the edge of the glass (it sticks, just there's gaps between the dots) - I don't know if this is typical, since this is the first car I've had tinted...

It is - you can get a new bumper and have it painted for the cost of a clearbra.

That's my plan...if I go to sell my Z, I'll replace the bumper, and have a pro-shop touch up and blend any chips on the fenders/hood/pillars/mirrors.
