Oil filters are cheap. Engines are expensive.

:iagree: It's an Oil filter, that's it. Throw it away and be done with it!!

I noticed yours is 15208-65FOC. The filter I get from Nissan is 15208-65FOE.

That filter is no longer carried by Nissan. Part number has been superseded by the -65FOE. Looks like it may be counterfeit.

Exactly about the 65FOE part.

I agree would not purchase anything made in China or Mexico for my Z. Not to defend the eBay seller but there are a lot of eBay sellers sometimes that don’t even know actually where the item they are selling is really made I have seen this before they just try to sell the item. If you are skeptical about the part for your Z throw it in the trash. I too use Genuine Nissan oil filters for my Z oil changes .

The Nissan filters I buy at the Nissan dealership are made in Mexico according to the box and filter. Chances are, yours are too.

there is NO way I'd put anything other than a backup camera on my Z from EBay. Like another poster said, oil filter is cheap, an engine is expensive. I always assume anything that's a commodity item on EBay, and lately Amazon, is counterfeit; especially something as easy to make as an oil filter. Even oil can be resealed/replaced with garbage oil with the original removed.
Buyer Beware is even more valid now than ever before. I buy my filters from the stealership.

I don't want to appear insulting, but why would one even look for an oil filter on ebay? They aren't expensive. About the only thing I buy off ebay are old F1 t-shirts.

how much you can save from buying from eBay??

OP, while you’re at it, what about eBay motor oil and turbo kits.

Hell just stay away from eBay crap completely. This car is too nice to be putting cheap crap on it just to save a few bucks.

Hmmmmmm... perhaps I'll try these fake consumables going forward. Oh yeah, I could save a ton! :ugh:

Here's a topic: which fake filter is the best?

Don’t want to chance Toyota trying to get out of any warranty claims for not using oem filters/fluids ,,,as I paid for bumper—-bumper extended warranty for 6/120k & gonna be right st the mileage mark on or just before 6 :driving:
