Are You Seeing 370's Out There? I'm not...
Writing from vacation on Florida's Gulf Coast. We drove from Pittsburgh to Marco Island FL (not in our Z) and throughout the whole trip and during my stay here, I've had my eyes open for Z-spotting. However, over 1300 miles and two weeks of driving through 7 states, I've seen only 3 370Z's, including here in warm and upscale southeast Florida. One was driven by a grouchy graybeard who grunted when I complemented him. The others were a beautiful PG and a very nice silver one I saw in Georgia and S. Carolina, respectively. I'm kind of surprised and also sort of feeling like a member of a special club!

Just a little over 10,000 370z cars sold so far, spread that out and they can be rare to find. I see one usually once a week, but that is about it in Houston here.
|
I've still only seen 2 of them out on the street here in LA.
But, I've seen 3 of these: http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog..../04/alfa8c.jpg And they've only made around 500 of them. |
I'm convinced I have the only 370Z in the state of CT :tiphat: and I love it.
|
I know of 1 other (than mine) that's black, and there's a blue z that's floating around, but I haven't seen in months.
That's it...that said, I know the dealership is selling them - they sold the 4 remaining of the 5 that were there when I bought mine, just a few months later. |
I see them on the daily. 4-5 during the weekdays and if I'm out on the weekends I usually see one running around.
|
In DFW there are supposedly tons of em but I might see one every other week or so. I think sometime next year or so they will start popping up in more places. Granted I live in the ghetto and it's all about bigger cars or trucks. Oh and mustangs or camaros or vettes (beat to crap C5' that look like total recoveries).
Heck, it's more common to see a used Porsche or newer Infiniti than see a Z of any kind in my area. |
PG in SC, could have been me an OG, you see; you dang Yankee. :) :stirthepot:
I will not eat green eggs and ham. |
I was the only red 370 around for 6 freakin months, then the other day, I was driving in the mall parking lot and seen one, made me wanna punch an elderly woman square in the jaw.
|
I saw 5 Ferrari Californias in an hour today, 5! I've seen a few 370z'z, but they are still very rare by Miami standards.
|
I drove from VA to Florida roundtrip and didn't see a single 370Z in I-95 or in the Jacksonville area. But saw plenty of 350Zs.
However, I bet that they are not going to be driving them in the Winter and for Holidays trip. Wait for Spring and Summer you will see a few of them. |

I do see a lot of 350Z's and I sometimes mistake a few of them with a body kit and wheels for 370's, same with older Nismo's. But honestly, 1 a week if I'm lucky. |

Nope, no 370Zs in CT but mine :icon17: |
I've seen about three in the last 8 months. There are alot of 350's around.

370z? what's that? was that from the movie, Avatar?
jokes aside, last month i saw 4...its the end of December and I haven't seen any :( |
I've only ever seen one on the road, but both dealerships in my city are full of them. I guess no one in north Louisiana wants a Z.
|
besides on a z cruise, i have only seen 3 since they came out. i think it's great!!!!!
|
I've only seen one white 370z here in Buffalo, NY all year.
|
There are about 9 370Z's in the Midwest by Chicago, and I have the only White Touring Ha I love it!!! But I have only seen 3 different ones on the Road... The only reason I know there are about 9 in the area is I called around to all of the Dealerships and thats the total # that was in the area.

I've only ever seen three live ones ever. There are four in town and two up Island. In all my time driving around (and I drive around a lot in the summer) that's it - three. Of course being so rare the 370Z gets gawked at ALL the time. Its crazy....
|
You know how, when you by a..... say a VW beetle, then suddenly it seems everyone has one?
Well, I've never seen another 370 in our town of 75,000 all year, then the other day I pull into my buildings underground, there's another 370Z....same color.... three spaces from me. |
I used to see a lot of 350Zs, so many I considered not buying a 370Z thinking there'd be 3 or 4 at every stop light, but due to the weak economy (actually just the economy correcting itself after unsustainable growth to support debt spending) and the majority of people being very poor financial managers, combined with the banks getting back to rational loan policies, and I doubt we'll see many 370Zs on the road for a good many years..

Since I started noticing Zs sometime in August I have seen only ever seen 1 on the road. This was when I was first thinking about getting one, the driver was a real nice guy, PG Touring/Sport with Nav. I have seen signifigantly more Astons, Bentleys, Maseratis, you name it in the past week than I have seen Zs. I really do feel like I'm in an exclusive club. Even more so when someone in a car that costs 4x's the amount mine does stops and looks at it in a parking lot.

So I saw another Z tonight. My friend's friend got a new Magnetic Black Z...kinda sucked to be blocked in a driveway by the car of your dreams lol.
|
i see one every day inside my garage!!! beautiful!!
|
Saw one yesterday. PG with sports. We were crossing each other about 40 MPH. I flashed my headlights. That caught him/her totally off guard. He/she hit the turn signal first by accident and as he/she was passing me flashed the headlights. Couldn't see the driver due to tint. At least I got a flash back this time. Usually I get nothing when I wave/flash headlights :icon14:

Ive only seen about 3 or 4 other 370s but a **** load 350s. The 350s are almost as common here as the freakin mustang, which I see about 50 a day of. |
In central VA I don't see any 370's except when I drive by the dealer's place. I have seen maybe 2, 350's. But that seems understandable because when viewing the Mid-Atlantic section of the forum, there only seems to be members in a 2-3 hour radius of me, either Northern VA or VA Beach areas.
|
Only a handful here in Memphis. I've seen one other base Black as opposed to my Sport Black, one Sport Blue, one White (a few times, the driver must live in my area) and one PG. I do not see them with any frequency at all, but the driver of the Blue (370zproject) here on these forums was pretty damn cool. Haven't seen any of the other drivers to have a chat with.
|
I estimate that there are at least four others within a two-three mile radius of me. A yellow sport lives in my complex, another yellow lives nearby. There's a white one maybe 2 miles from me, a blue one, and then a black one I see all the time so I assume he is close too.
Been seeing a silver nismo a lot lately so that could be another. I also see a white, pg, and silver one very often near my office. |

|
I drove across the US from Norfolk, VA to San Diego, CA and did not see one 370Z. A lot of 350s.

I've only seen one on the street, a black one owned by my cousin. I live in a town that has a population of 60,000 though, I guess I'd have to go to Houston before I start seeing a lot of 370s. I see a ton of 350s though.

I know this is old, but I figured I'd post it anyway.
I was trying to search for some type of sales figures for North America by state or region, but could not find anything. Would be cool to have something like that. http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dl...E02/904149995# |
