Default Nismo Question

For the nismo can you not add any parts to it or mod it up, because I love the way the nismo looks but like what I’m trying to do is buy a 370z add like some modifications not to much like exhaust and basic stuff. Also which one would you say is faster after all the modifications the nismo or a fully upgraded sports edition?

What do you mean? Are you talking about buying a Nismo still under warranty or something?

Did you try searching at all? What makes you ask if you can mod a Nismo? Of course you can. Just be careful because some parts are Nismo specific, plus there are different versions of the Nismo depending on the model year.

The Nismo is mostly just aero differences. The only performance difference in the Nismo is the exhaust and a tune that adds 18 hp over the sport package. If you mod them identically and tune the car, they will pretty much be the same.

Get the Nismo if you like it the way it is. You are paying a premium for the Nismo package, especially the body kit. Get a sport if you want to mod and aren't in love with the Nismo aero.

How many threads do you need to make to ask the same question of getting a sport or Nismo? Make a decision, buy a damn car already and stop posting the same thing over and over.

And they quickly devolved into you asking whether you should get a Nismo or sport. We get it, you're excited. But use the search function, not the new thread button.

If you're going to do basic mods, you want a sport. The premium over base is worth the brakes and vlsd. The things like wheels are whatever, though I think the 2015'ish sport wheels are some of the best looking factory wheels ever. Forged Rays from factory? Yes please. You can get a better mechanical limited slip aftermarket, but let's be real, 90% of people will never need it. I drove a base and a sport back to back, and the open differential on the base is very noticeable and suuuucks.

If you're going to definitely without a doubt convert to the Nismo bodykit, get the Nismo. It's a hell of a premium over sport though for what you get in my opinion, unless you're wanting to buy a car you can just leave alone and enjoy driving. If you convert a sport to look like a Nismo, it's still a sport. Remember, mods generally never add to the value of a car.

Now go buy one.

If you don't like this site's search (I think it sucks), go to any of the big web search engines and add "site:the370z.com" to your search string. Eg, "Nismo mods site:the370z.com" (or "site:the370z.com Nismo mods").

FWIW, starting multiple threads on the same subject will get you flamed on most forums. It's not just on this site.

Most of the folks who can (and will) help you look at all the new threads (or click on "New Posts" at the top of most pages).
