I've noticed on "newer" model cars(not just the Z), these new brake lights are some times hard to see in bright sun light. The third stop light (the one in the middle), shows up fine. But the left, or right brake light, is hard to see in bright sun light, depending on the angle of the sun!

Sorry to hear and see the Damage. The Body shop should take care of all the damage. Be sure to look it over good and make sure their is a warranty on the work.
good luck..

Sorry to see.....I got hit at 200 miles and 5 days into my ownership. It sucks, but the car is just like new again. Better actually considering the paint quality. Do yourself a favor and inform the Insurance co. that's handling this that you intend to file a "Diminished Value" claim.. Your car now has a Carfax record that will result in it being worth less when you eventually go to sell. A diminished value claim will help make you whole on this. Allstate paid me $2200 for my diminished value, over and above a perfect repair payment ($7K).

That sucks about your car. Please say the guys insurence is paying for it.

While first reading these replies about 'so many collisions', I thought we were on track for a new 'blame nissan' thread :)

In keeping with the theme...I just witnessed a nice rear-end collision on the way back from Home Depot 15 minutes ago. Some Hyundai SUV creamed the back of a BMW X3. Massive damage to both. Just plain stupid...Hyundai driver wasn't looking as he pulled up to a traffic light.

Thanks for all the replies, friends. Yes, the insurance company is going to cover it, but it still sucks and is a pain in the ***.

Modshack: thanks for the Diminished Value claim tip. I did not know about it, but will do the research and see what I can come up with.

That sucks I have the same car I would not have them put the factory spoiler back on and switch to the pre painted Nismo version makes it stand out in a crowd. I wanted to change mine to Nismo but the holes don't line up.
Thats just my opinion

Good luck with the repair

Make sure you make a claim for deminished value too. Start at 10% of the cars original value. Now that you have had an accident you will probably show up on car fax and will get less value for trade ins or resale. I did this on my Audi and got all 10% $3,700 from the military for it.

I was sitting at a stop light, getting ready to turn in to my subdivison after enjoying a nice afternoon cruise, and WHAM, I get hit in the rear end

Poor Z.. Sorry to see/ hear about this. I hope it gets fixed quickly. I have a friend who lives in Aurora/Denver area. I was there this summer. Beautiful Mountains :)

It often take a few days for injuries from this type of collision to show up. First sign of neck pain, headaches, etc get your *** to a doctor and call your insurance company. It all sucks, man, sorry for you. :shakes head:

Thanks for the replies and support friends. I get to start playing with the insurance companies this week. Lovely....

caneman88: I am want the vehicle back to exactly the way it was. I am not a big fan of the NISMO wing and effects.
