Default Sold my 2016 base, now I miss it

So I basically sold my 2016 Enthusiast a few weeks ago but I read about the 2018 Sport model basically covering all of the things I wish I had ordered originally (LSD, 2 more speakers, trunk button). So...i'm back wondering if I should get another one since the price of the Sport can be had for the same price as I paid for my base model. The crazy thing, is that I currently have a 2018 M3 MT and I still found the Z more fun to drive!

Not surprised about the M3 (great car though). Yeah, I'd jump on that 18 sport... especially now that it's priced competitively. These Zs are truly unique in today's marketplace.

It just bugs me a bit that they will be scrapping this model soon enough but even if they do decide what model will come next, there's no way it's going to come close to the $30k price they are asking for the current model.

Sadly, I agree. Whatever replaces the Z (if anything at all) won't be anywhere priced at the 30k level. I'd bet a base would start around or over 40k, with nismo in the 60s. And not offer a v6 at base.

If they cancel this model, I'll be looking for a new one in the last year offered.

That's exactly why I'm contemplating shopping for one now since I think that 2019 models (which are out now) seem to be the last year they will be offered. Yes the car is technologically outdated however this might be the last time you will be able to get a 6 cyl naturally aspirated sports car before the 2 cyl SUPERCHARGED, hybrid plug in, self driving cars come so i'm thinking "get one while you can".

Yeah, no doubt those shi##y little engines are coming. And to be honest, I like that this car isn't jammed up with a ton of electronics. It just ruins the driving experience for me.

Believe me I love driving my 370Z here in the Dragon at Zday compared to my C7 Z51 Corvette.

The 370Z is raw yet so much fun on the twisty roads.

I’ll probably regret once I sell my 370Z

Did the trunk button start in 17 or is this something different? I have the button above the license that opens the trunk. I have heard that there is a pull chord in the new version, is this what you mean?

By that I assumed some sort of release inside the car.

I've had a trunk button for a while. Its an easy mod to do. Buy an infiniti trunk release button, and run one wire to ground and the other to the bottom gray right wire in the BCM under the passenger kick panel.

Holy sh!t, a trunk release button has been added? I'm selling my '16 Z for a newer one!
All kidding aside, the Z is one unique beast. I love the fact that it is raw and true to what a sports car should be. Sure it needs some extra ponies under the hood and an overall refresh would be appreciated but the Z34 is sexy and unique just the way it is.
