I purchased my 2010 used BUT, I was only willing to buy a CPO (Certified Pre Owned) from a dealer. That way you have a warranty. I'm glad I did as the warranty paid for a brand new tranny when the 4/5 gear syncros went out...as these things are known to do. Good luck in your search. They're an awesome car!

The ESCL problem on early years is just pulling a fuse to fix. If you aren't interested in nav, then the fluky early system don't matter. The external oil cooler is not that big of a deal - most DDs don't really require one and they are fairly easy to retrofit if the car doesn't already have one. If you're going to be driving the car hard, you'll probably want a larger 3rd-party cooler anyway. DRLs are a matter of personal taste. Personally, not a selling point for me (but not a liability if they're there, either). Don't pass up a good deal on an early model (unless the points mentioned above are important to you).

Nice little ragtop.
I avoid dealers personally. Selection is reduced when buying private party, but private party sales in Arizona are not subject to sales tax, which is over 8% here at a dealership. that literally can add thousands to the price. Add to that their markup and stupid "Doc Fees"..... I bought my car at 2 years old (2014 model in 2016) private party with 10k miles on the clock for $3500 under KBB. $23k cash and it was in my driveway that day without the dealership BS. That said, looks like you got a decent deal on that car. Enjoy the ride, my friend. |
