I get 24-25

If you can't get past the teens...maybe you should let your car warm up for 10-15 minutes before driving. Its better for the car that way anyway

Actually, it's worse for the car to sit for 20 minutes ice-cold and idling than it is to be driven conservatively. Conservative driving when cold will warm the engine faster and lead to less wear overall. Been at this winter driving for some time now :tiphat:

Bone stock I saw a hair over 30 MPG on a trip to southern VA. Pretty pleased at the highway economy of this car.

They are not supposed to...

Berk is one of the brands that most people have reported no issues..so...:ugh2:

Fast Intentions have a design which should prevent it as well, so far, I've not heard of anyone tripping the light.

I have a SES, but i'm attributing it to an air leak before the O2 sensor because I didnt use the proper gaskets, I plan on getting the issue fixed when my exhaust comes in.

I don't recall saying 20 minutes. :p I said 10-15... And if letting your car warm up for a few minutes before driving it is so bad for the car..why are you not supposed to drive it after first turning it on in the cold weather?!! Belts squeak when the car is cold....

blue660r01 12-27-2009 05:28 PM

Technology now makes it so you dont have to wait for the car to warm up like you used to. Now it warms up faster if you drive it.

eddieconfetti 12-27-2009 06:47 PM

computer on mine reads 19 mpg for me. but i also do drive in traffic.

Exactly. The idea of driving right away is that the engine warms up more quickly if you're driving between 1-3k RPM than if you let it sit at 750rpm.

I have Crawford HFC's on my G35C, I have had no issues. And people I know that run the them have had no problems aswell.

i dont have any mods yet... best i did from Franklin Tennesse to Newnan Georgia was 23 mpg. But again i was cruizing around 80-85. I know with my current tank its even going to be worst because its all been city driving.

How are you guys getting 30+ mpg?

Not quite sure how having your car sitting while running for 15 minutes is going to improve your gas mileage.
