370z - Paddle shifters???

Up shift is only possible after 2000-2500rpm. If you try to up shift under 2k, it will make a noise letting you know you can't up shift yet. Down shift

Up shift is only possible after 2000-2500rpm. If you try to up shift under 2k, it will make a noise letting you know you can't up shift yet.

Down shift is exactly what jchammond said, it will rev your rpm high.

If you are not trying to cut lanes and zoom off, you don't really need to worry about down shifting because the car will automatically drop gears if you are slowing down.
