Agree with above. Anyone complaining about paint chips on the front of the car does so for two reasons:

1) Never had a low, sloping front-end car before, or

2) Tailgates cars in front of him.

Ummm no.

my 2005 tundra is not low and sloping and it had chips and a broken windsheild. my 2008 tundra just got a broken windsheild, I wish i was tailgating when it happened cause the rock would not have flown as high up and would have hit my clear bra.

yah, they need to incorporate the self healing paint so folks dont need professional detailers any more. :D hahaha.

That is a hell of an idea!

New to this forum so Hi :tiphat:, have been looking around for quite some time before I bought my 370z (I can pick up my baby next monday)

What I was wondering is does the US 370z come with an anti-scratch paint? Here in europe they advertise with it having an anti-scratch paint (whatever this is)

They do cost quite a bit more over here yes but I doubt thats the reason to give a lesser paint :p
My Z in Belgium costs 45.400 euro (base price 42.200) and I have to pay 5.000 euro tax to get it in trafic. (thats the highest possible tax on a new car and its because its considerd a sports car with alot of power)
However I was born in Holland, a Z there costs 65.000 euro as base price and I now live 1/2 mile away from Holland.

Sorry about going off topic a bit

Nah, Lou, it's easier to make up complaints out of thin air. As I've stated in the past, Nissan's factory painting and QC is state-of-the-art. I think the paint on my Z is fabulous.

Oh, you're just a suck-up.. :roflpuke2:

What a bunch of crap! I see 350's going back to 2003 and th3ir paint is ok. why are you saying this stuff?

kenchan 12-23-2009 04:34 PM

my G is over 5yrs old (original owner) and it still looks brand new. and no pro-detailer needed. :p

The paint on my 2002 maxima has held up well and still looks great, I've just maintained it with regular washes and waxes.

arcticreaver 12-23-2009 04:49 PM

well if down the line i get a body kit, i'm going to spend top dollar to get this baby painted and clear coated like it should have been.

I have not seen any factory-painted car without orange peel...including euros. The only ones without orange peel are the hand-painted ones!

If you have over $8,000.00 to spend I have someone in Orange County and it will look like glass.

Ummm, don't tailgate. Maybe someone threw a rock at you.

My 2006 Camry looks fantastic. What dos any of this have to do with paint? It's al nonsense.
