At some point, I'll get it repainted along with PW calipers by summertime I hope.

Axmea, I really hate that you guys in CA. have to deal with this kind of crap. :shakes head:

On a good note, I have thought of doing this as well. Look forward to seeing the end results on the calipers.

I left in 1994 because I saw the writing on the wall. I'm trying to convince my ex-daughter in law and her hubby to leave and come to Kansas. With what their properties appraise for, they can live in a McMansion with 60 acres and still have money....

Wheels are on! I decided to wait on the corner-balance/alignment/ride-height adjustment until i made a new splitter (as you can see, the original is doneski). I think I nailed the offsets so the wheel is actually inside the well and not poking out (i let it slide on the track set b/c grip)

I also installed this for shiz and giggles. I'll likely move the rear camera to the outside of the car whenever the pollen dies down.

Nothing I did with or for my Z, but late yesterday afternoon, some moron from work posted my Z up for sale on Craigslist for $8500 cash.

Apparently I was a woman who just lost my husband, so a fresh widow... It was his car and I don't know how to drive a manual.

Around 6pm yesterday at work, my phone started getting all of these random text messages and phone calls. Being slammed at work, I just glanced at the phone once or twice, didn't recognize the numbers and just left it alone until I got off work. By 2am I had well over 100 texts and 19 voice mails!

As of about an hour ago and a couple stern emails to Craigslist, the ad is gone.

Normally, I wouldn't have cared too much, but the pics showed my place of work AND my licence plate. NOT cool at all. And I know who did it since I could see him in the reflection on my bumper from one of his pictures. Idiot...

Stupid April fools crap...

Give it about a month or 2 before bombing the chit out of him. Let him forget about before doing anything. If you do something now. He will know who's doing it.

Say what you will, but I think that's hilarious (yeah, save for the license plate bs and all that...)! Ok, but don't get mad... now it's time to get even.

Finally got my car back after 3 weeks... everyone: Take care of your 7AT's, I learned the hard way!

Immediately treated 'er to a small upgrade going from JL Audio 10w0's to 10w3's (I think we're now on V3)...

Left = W3 / Right = W0 (I'm sure everyone on here know's this most likely):

Will need to upgrade from this puny RF p300x1...

Yeah I bet those are just insane... for the z, these should be plenty... Did order some SI TMIII's and M25's (Hertz HSK 165's are being punted)

What amp are you running the W7 on?

I'm debating the RF P1000x1bd $400 vs the RF T1000 $600... running a 2 ohm setup

madwi 04-03-2019 10:11 AM

I had to remove the two 8" subs I had in there, was way overkill. :icon17:

Hahahahaha

I am on the 7AT thread over in the engine n drivetrain section...

Long story short: buy a transmission cooler and do frequent transmission fluid changes

Leingod 04-03-2019 04:26 PM

Neglect? Mines still in storage. Probably sitting on flats.

I have it on an original JL Audio 500/1 bridged.
Perfect amp for it, not too much, but more than enough for the Z!

Got my tax return today so I ordered my front tires: Firestone Fire Hawk Indy (stock size). I have the new rears already. Going to try and get them mounted soon and see how they handle.

I have the ultimate payback planned. And I can tell you right now, not a single one of them are going to see it coming, and when it happens, none of them are going to believe it.

I'll definitely be the one having the last laugh, that's for sure.

Did what I should have done last year.

Was at Z1motorsports at opening. Got the 34 row cooler installed with the 160F plate. I didn't get to do too much on the way back, but since I had the old Note 4 up with Torque, I got a pretty good look at the new characteristics:

On the way down it was about 50F outside and after the oil matched up the coolant at 183F it drifted up to around 195F in the 50 mins or so it took me to get there.

On the way back it was 67F and I was less sedate. When the plate opened it actually dragged coolant under thermostat trigger and ran at 179F for a bit. On surface streets once I got off the highway I couldn't get it to break 200F but there was enough traffic I couldn't really get a good test in.

I'm going to have to plan a bit, make sure I get things nice and warm and then take some well known roads not dropping revs under 5k to get a good feel (finally!!) for how the car behaves at peak power.

The surge from 5k to red is loads of fun, I look forward to a lot more of that.

Thanks to the good folks of Z1motorsports.

Have fun and be safe y'all.

Debating whether or not it's worth it to pay to get my wheels repaired or just get new ones...I love the stock rays, but getting all 4 wheels done would cost at least $600...
