Right on! Checking it out now. Been partying in Key West since Friday... finally getting caught back up on the community goings-on while my flight home continues to get delayed...

Had to swing by the grocery store on the way home. Ugg. Buggy full of groceries, had to stuff them in the car. LOL The things we get hornswoggled into by the wife.

I was laughing the whole time.

Did my first "long-ish" drive today since having the full exhaust and tune done on the Z. Was 35 miles each way highway driving. While on the first leg of the trip (training class in Tampa), went out for lunch and the "Service Engine Soon" light came on.

I always have my Bluetooth OBDII in the car, so hooked it up and found the code P2906. So as I sat there eating my Big Mac, I cleared the code. Drove back home in the evening and all was fine.

Now Seb told me that his Ecutek tunes were supposed to get rid of those CAT codes and such when running test pipes, not to mention one of the reasons I went with the ART pipes is that they are supposed to avoid CEL's.

I've had these ART pipes on the car for over 4 months and this is the first time this has happened. In fact, this is the first ever CEL I've had with my Z.

I guess I'll shoot Seb an email and see what he has to say about it.

I wonder if it's an O2 sensor? Don't believe I've heard a case of ART pipes tripping a code, and that's from personal experience as well.

Just thinking out loud..

That's what I thought as well, but today, in the same situation, at the same time. Let out for lunch during training, and... P2096 and P2098 today.

I also had a typo in my first post and said "P2906". When I sent Sebastian an email last night, I even typed it wrong. That's what I get for doing things at 1 am and half asleep. LOL

Of course, I cleared them out again before coming home...

I'm willing to bet the gaskets around the cat aren't making a full seal. That's what happened with mine when I got those codes

Attended a great track day yesterday at Grattan Raceway, just outside of Grand Rapids Michigan. Weather was perfect, track was hot, people were fantastic, and my lap times came down all day. Newly installed oil cooler from Z1 worked perfectly, very glad I got this before going to the track. Heading back in August, anyone interested in joining us, PM me.

Grattan is near to my house. Next time you are in town, drop me a line.

Replaced my rear diff bushings with Z1 bushings.

I'm running Motordyne ART test pipes, and the last time I was under the car, we double checked and re-torqued all of the bolts on the exhaust system from the stock manifolds back. So not too sure that it's a gasket leak.

ChaseZ 06-20-2017 10:55 PM

Check the v-bands too. I had to tighten just about all my Motordyne v-bands this summer, after less than a year. One even needed a bit of RTV. Bunch of little leaks that could only find in a smoke test.
