Thinking that you might be better off with 1/8". If the ends of the flanges are touching and gapped in the center. Depending on the gap. The 1/8' should fill up that gap.

I'll check it tomorrow morning. I feel like it should seal as i looked at my old invidia pipes and they are pretty flat themselves.

I still don't regret spending money on the other car now. I basically have an STi without the EJ problems lol.

My gaskets from FI have never leaked. When you start your project. Check the flanges with a straight edge. Lay it on the flange from bolt hole to bolt hole. See how much gap there is under the straight edge in the center. If not too bad. you can hammer the flange flat again. A 12" scale (metal ruler) makes a good straight edge.

Base brakes upgraded with power stop calipers, stoptech slotted rotors, stoptech ss lines and yellow stuff pads. Definite improvement. Decals from etsy.

Indeed, but branded as PowerStop.

Delivering supplies to healthcare worker in isolation

What did I do with my Z today? Well, on Good Friday...

Family friend & student nurse, Alanah, was at the end of her hospital placement.

She put herself into isolation for 14 days to protect her family from bringing home the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

Low on supplies, she needed an express delivery. What better way...

The weather was really nice yesterday with 85F and sunny. I checked the HFC flanges and those seem to be the ones giving me trouble, not the headers. I swapped in the graphite style gaskets that fuse the system together, and we'll see if that works better than the Metal ones. If not, I'll just get some LTH and say F all of that noise. (vbands for life).

Drove around the city and got some good mileage in, as well as getting some data logs from ECUtek to check the car. Next on the list is to replace the radiator hoses and do a coolant flush (preventative maintenance).

Hoping for an email from Seb today. Email sent early Friday PST, but that was Good Friday and led into Easter weekend. Possible to not get anything until Wednesday given the holiday and listed 24-48 hour turnaround. Looking forward to the improved performance.

“I wanna go fast, Pa!”

Sebastian sent me the canned tune this afternoon and I went ahead and loaded ‘er up. Smooth idle and a few quick logs, but will log more in the evening.

I can definitely tell the difference in throttle input and a noticeable power bump on the 2/3 shift. Good start!

I’m excited to play around some more this evening and learn more about the cars data parameters.

Now to save up for a damn oil cooler.... any part outs coming up?
