That depends on the price of equally as good wheels there. about 600-1k here will get you replica wheels and nothing special. Repairing your rays might be worth it especially if you already do like the look of them. if your going to do it right and put good rims, then the cost will far exceed the cost to repair your current rims. Have you shopped around for different prices to get them fixed?

The stock Sport/Nismo wheels are very high quality wheels. So if you like them then spend the money. $150 per wheel is a fair price. You're complaining about repairing all 4 wheels for 2/3 the cost of a single wheel new.

But if you replace them, don't get some cheap a$$ replicas. With some patience you could probably find another set of stock wheels in better condition than yours for under $1000. Then sell yours to offset the cost; even rashed up Rays often get $800 for a set.

They good tires. Should of went a bit wider imo

Got them mounted today. I'm liking them so far! They feel a little softer than the stock tires. Have to get some time on them to really get a true opinion.

Did what I should have done last year.

Was at Z1motorsports at opening. Got the 34 row cooler installed with the 160F plate. I didn't get to do too much on the way back, but since I had the old Note 4 up with Torque, I got a pretty good look at the new characteristics:

On the way down it was about 50F outside and after the oil matched up the coolant at 183F it drifted up to around 195F in the 50 mins or so it took me to get there.

On the way back it was 67F and I was less sedate. When the plate opened it actually dragged coolant under thermostat trigger and ran at 179F for a bit. On surface streets once I got off the highway I couldn't get it to break 200F but there was enough traffic I couldn't really get a good test in.

I'm going to have to plan a bit, make sure I get things nice and warm and then take some well known roads not dropping revs under 5k to get a good feel (finally!!) for how the car behaves at peak power.

The surge from 5k to red is loads of fun, I look forward to a lot more of that.

Thanks to the good folks of Z1motorsports.

Have fun and be safe y'all.

You know, it's not a bad thing for the oil to get up to 220* or a little past for a bit. That's how moisture boils out of the oil. Keeping the oil temps below all the time will just accumulate more moisture (water) which isn't a good thing.

Unless you're tracking your car all the time, I don't really see a need for the cooler. Mine barely ever sees 220*, and I'm just running the stock oil cooler. Then again, I just do normal street driving with some redline hits every so often throughout the day.

Tried putting my Z in captivity for the first time today. It liked it!

Re050a are good tires for summet applications. Yes they loud and suck in rain or cold but they are more summer oriented.

Indy500s are imho beat bang for buck performance tire that can be used in cooler applications and wet. Plus they have very similiar tread pattern to ny favourite discontinued.

Installed 18" resonated F.I. pipes i bought off a forum member to replace my non-res. Pulled the W brace, sanded off some rust and repainted those spots as well. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0911e7e680.jpg

That's what, a 200lb reduction in unsprung weight? I bet it's a night and day different from driving with wheels.

Watkins Glen opening weekend

Took her down to Watkins Glen for opening weekend

$25 gets you 3 "pace-led" laps but they're pretty laxed about it... still able to pull some pretty good speed on most of the track (depending on who's in front of you :icon14:)

Blew me away that we hung there for about 2.5 hours after we did our laps and I didn't see a single other Z
