The G is supposed to be faster according to Road & Track I've read somewhere. So I wouldn't say the G isn't sporty or doesn't have performance.

But, I went with the Z ! It was soo hard though. Felt like i was loosing my Old' Yeller. But definatly happy with my Z.

The kicker was being young and getting a race-car now. Luxury car later when we are older and hopefully have more money to afford a brand new one.

Age is no longer determinative regarding the Z. I'm 61 years old and just bought a new 370Z to replace my last "hobby car," a beautiful 1995 Miata M I bough new and am keeping, now with classic plates. My only concession to age was getting the automatic tranny, in anticipation of possible knee problems during the years of ownership of my 370Z. But when dealing on "upscale" sports cars like the Z, middle age does not disqualify---it actually makes it easier to afford such toys, since the kids are all educated, grown, self-supporting and looking at "hobby cars" of their own.

Tough Decision, did you look for a G37C with an automatic. That would satisfy you guy's needs, good luck on your decision!

I can comment on this, as I have both a Z (just picked it up today though!) and a 2008 G35x Sport (4 door).

Based off of my *very* brief Z ownership thus far... If I had to have one, it'd be the Z. Nothing feels quite like a true sports car, and the Z is a true sports car in every sense of the term. That said, the G is infinitely more practical, rides a lot smoother, and has a gorgeous interior with room, all of which may be important later in life. As someone said before, the steering in the G is quite a bit lighter, and while it has great road feel, it doesn't feel like a true sports car.

In sum, they are both awesome - But knowing your situation, the Z would win in my book.

Ok, i found my NEW LOVE! Forget the G or the Z , Go V!!:driving::happydance:

Haha, I turned my Z into service department today and they gave me this loaner. But I drove that V like a Z. I was passing people going 80mph.

007mech I think you made a solid decision in keeping the 370.

It's funny how so many of us here are currently (or have been at one time) debating between owning these 2 cars....like I said, I'm even debating the same colors you had! The only diff is that the 370 I'm considering is a 6spd touring/sport, not a base/sport.

Anyway, I think I'll be going with a 370 as well.....90% sure anyway. LOL

Good Choice, I think. I would have preferred a newer car to a used for the same price, albeit without all the amenities. Luxury cars can be for later in life.
