I have a lifetime to my350z and I probably haven't been there twice since I joined here. Got tired of the doucherization of that forum. Also got tired of the most common phrase of "you need to drop it".

Funny I was part of the G37 forum and that was essentially the only mod going on over there drop drop drop....I got so tired of it I dropped my car too. :icon17:

A 1971 Datsun 240Z sold for $22,000 USD!!

Nice depreciation! :hello:

Due to the fact that I've seen 6 or 7 new owners/members joined today, this thread can be put to bed.

I don't lurk, preferring to post total crap.

little problems=big problem

Do not get me wrong... I will always be a Z fan. However, Nissan had the chance to hit it big with the new Z in 2009. I am not and engineer but all of these small problems fixed before production.1. Steering wheel lock (solution; do not put it in the car) 2. Seldom used hard drive to download CD's (solution; I rather would have had a functional back up camera, or at least a backup, lane change sensor) 3. Gas starvation (solution; engineer a better gas tank) 4. last but not least; the overheating oil issue, which might not have been a problem at all... but there were things that could have been done to correct limp mode in day to day regular driving. I STILL LOVE MY Z (2010 ROADSTAR TOURNIG)

I was pretty active here for the first year (mostly on the premium side) but life got busy and after last May or June, I barely made it here at all. Lots of good info and if people use the search to find already answered questions there's no need to, oh I dunno, start another oil thread ;-)

Once the Zcars come out of hibernation the activity will pick up. I'm already getting the itch to pull my Zcar out of storage.

I used to own a '09 370Z, traded it in on a BMW 335i two years ago, am now thinking about buying an '18 Mustang GT when they become available.

The trifecta!!!!!

Something that just occured to me - Now that the car's been around for several years, it's often easier for me to find a solution to a small technical question on Youtube - and you get a video guide to the solution at the same time. For example, yesterday I searched here and in the workshop manual for information about the map reading lamp bulbs and how to take the cover off without damaging it. Couldn't find any information until I searched on Youtube, which gave me all the necessary information in a neat 2 minute video. Same with information about wrapping the roof.
So, alongside the discredited Facebook Z groups, Youtube is another alternative source of information for owners, albeit not a community like this one is. Some people just want information and this in't always the easiest place to find it. Personally, I'm a Z Community type, so I'm staying here.

Only read the first couple pages of this thread but I'm checking in to vote for this forum not being dead.
