Steering lock Issue, too late to pull fuse?

My steering lock failed on me prior to my knowledge of pulling the fuse. I got it replaced under a recall and as soon as I got home I pulled fuse right away. Even though it was a brand new unit that "wouldn't fail", I still pulled it out.

Good idea. The one that failed on me was the replacement.
