Yeah, it had the orignal tires, etc.. I basically replaced all hoses, flushed all the fluids, new tires.. It was in the south so I never found any rust at all
I wish I still had it.. Now I'm looking for another 240..Hopefully fully restored too..I just dont have the time to do a restoration project...
If I can find a pic of it I will post it.. the wife thinks she knows where some are.

Default My first one

My first one was a red 1979 Rx7. I loved that car. But I used to like the 240s as well. Some folks in Maryland where I lived had some tricked out 240s and they were really fast.

Default First car

After I was hit on the Washinton Beltway I-495, and had the car fixed, my girl friend talked me into trading it in on a Toyota Celica. Should have kept the car and traded...When she found someone else, I bought a gold 1980 Rx7 4 speed and moved to California. I had to sell it (mistake again) but eventually bought a used silver 1979 Rx7. I kept it a while and then bought a used 1984 RX7, black with red leather, and finally the 1986 blue Rx7 I traded in on the 2009 370Z. I wanted another Rx7 but the Rx8 just wasn't the same. I am very happy with the Z.

A couple friends of mine in my high school drove the 280Zs back in the late 80s. Everyday after school I would watch them drive their Z out of the school's parking lot with their hot girlfriends. And when I saw those two girls, I knew someday I had to get a Z. Being a geek that I was, I never had a girlfriend in high school and I always dreamed of how cool I would look if I owned a Z like my friends. Somehow the "Z" always stucks on my mind. But now that i'm married, I don't need a Z to impress girls. I just want to own one so I can have fun and pretend like I am 18 again.

And if i ever see those two friends again, I will make sure my Z will smoke them to dust unless they drive a Lambo or Ferrari.

My first Z was a 74 260 back in 84, I paid $2000, I also hated the Original Carbs! tossed those out and used the 71 carbs, and in 86, I found my 70.
