After averaging 2,500 miles a month after buying the Z, I've gotten a Dodge Dart for real cheap as a daily and winter car. Kinda fun to drive, but the issues are scaring me and i might sell it soon. Same engine in the Abarth 500 (1.4T) with a 6MT. Averaging 25ish mpg compared to 19 in the Z, which is lower than i expected.

huh, if u want mpg, the Fit is actually pretty good. i got 40.2mpg when i borrowed my wife's for a week and i wasnt doing anything special.

when i asked the taxi driver how much his pos prius was getting in real world, he said 49-50mpg. dat's it? while contaminating the environment with its batteries? wtf. :gtfo2:

I played this in my environmental science class and the professor actually drove a prius.... luckily I still passed my class. She did not care for it but I backed up the claim with actual scientific research. :icon17:

My Z IS my DD, lol. Going on 900 miles in a week and a half.

ZeeBabar 10-29-2016 11:34 AM

Getting a DD is like having a mistress. I love my wife and my Z so I don't need a DD. There are folks in Canada using their Z as a DD so if you love being in your Z, just put good winter tires on and use it. On the rare days when it's really bad outside, call a taxi or call in sick, sit in your Z in the garage.

I have an 80 series land cruiser lifted with big tires and a couple other things. Exact opposite of the z. And an 04 i35 for driving to work when its cold. ...

I bought a Dart brand new, the 2.0L, and had it for about 25K miles.
I liked it.

I had a dart too, the rallye, until it was totaled. I actually enjoyed driving that car a lot. The MPG thing is true though, you never get close to what is advertised.

Winter driving in Canada, especially in Quebec is absolutely brutal for one main reason. They still use good old-fashioned road salt which will turn your brand new Z into iron oxide powder sooner than you think. No Z deserves that fate. I'll keep my '16 Nismo safe and sound in my garage while the white sh*t falls (can you tell I hate winters?).

PS: You should see what my DD '10 Mustang looks like after 5 Canadian winters. You'd think it went through a corrosive acid bath underneath and along several body panels...........LOL. Let's not even talk about the aluminum hood.

How did this Z get out of the garage?
