If you find a 2014 nismo for 23k I would be concerned. Even a salvage one go for more than that. a clean title, low mileage, one owner 2014 nismo

I remember coming across a '15 nismo tech for 30k w/only 10k miles. clean title too. turns out it had major undisclosed frame damage and 3 owners and moved from auction to auction.

I found a 2014 for 30k with 8k mi. I found 2013 for 23k with 40k mi. I found many other deals around the same prices and they seem to have clean VINS. Couldn't they be getting a bit lower in prices with time? |

I have had dealers tell me, they make more on a used car than on a new one.
It really depends on the desireablity of the car. The 370 Z roadster we bought a couple of years back, there was another couple there waiting, if we didn't buy. |

or if the posted price is 24k, ask them... what's the total OTD price (taxes and fees included). Once you figure that out, negotiate that number instead. 2k down is very little, and if cap 1 isn't giving you more credit, it sounds like your credit score isn't all that great either, so your APR might be pretty high. 2k is only covering the taxes and then some...maybe you should re-consider your purchase for a while and save up some more first.
