I hope you get this resolved soon because there's way too many issues with this install. By the way, the pink will go away if you leave the car in the sun for a week or so. I've had this happen before and it's because there wasn't a neutral colored base coat sprayed initially. |

As for the pink - I don't care that it will fade or not. The fact of that matter is that I was not notified that there would be a possibility of it altering my OEM paint. That is where this guy f

And a $7K boost job on a 370Z is probably going to have a similar outcome as your dip. A really crappy shop might fab together an ebay kit and install it for that price, but it won't last long. Again, you get what you pay for. I'm not trying to say you deserve the results you got - those guys were obviously incompetent. But results like that are why I will always pay more to have someone that I know knows what they're doing to do it right rather than cheap out and get it done by the lowest bidder. When I look back in hindsight, I don't want to have to say I wish I had spent more money to do it right the first time.

If you can get a good product and install for $1K it seems like it should be more popular. But there's no reason they shouldn't be able to replicate the results on other vehicles with your own. If you had seen their work, and it was acceptable to you, then I can't say you made a poor decision on your purchase. You just got unlucky. In my experience the cheaper you go, the more of risk that becomes. There is no right answer though, unfortunately.

If you think that's all you need to boost a 370Z you're in for an eye opener. None of the turbo kits include all the supporting mods necessary for forced induction $10-12K is about the minimum you can get away with for a decent kit and install. And that doesn't even include the necessary contingency fund for when $hit goes south. Because with boost, it's not a matter of if but when.

I built up my old 2001 Audi A4 with a bigger turbo and quickly found I needed a huge intercooler, a 3" exhaust, a new clutch, an EBC, etc etc etc. Luckily the engine internals were pretty stout on that and really had no chance to blow with the ~450HP I was running.

Lol in that case just buy the $1200 ebay turbo kit and cram the parts randomly into the engine bay
